Hi ladies, any luck yet mrsB?

Got induced 4pm Wed, started getting contractions around 12 hours later and had baby boy at twenty to 11 Thursday night!

11lb6 back home yesterday lunchtime.

Nothing yet babymonster We'll get there though! That's a cracking weight for your little one & nice to hear you didn't have to spend too long in hospital Really looking forward to reading your birth story. Hope you don't mind me asking, what did they do to induce you? Seems there are different procedures in different areas & I'm interested to find out a bit more about it now that induction is looming for us!

Congratulations babymonster!

Mrs_b - in my area they use pessaries to get to started, up to 3 (not at the same time). If those have failed then yo get hooked up to the drip. You also get the drip if pessaries start labour off but it slows down for any reason. I'm not sure of the time gaps between being given the pessaries. Having induction chat with my midwife on Monday.

Sorry to hear you are full of cold Dizzi, I've only had one cold during pregnancy and it was horrible, knocked me for six and lack of being able to take anything made me feel worse.

Last NCT session for us today, means that next step is to actually have the baby :eek:

Hi, how is everyone this evening?

I'm freezing cold I'm quite glad though in a strange way though ive been waking up with swollen hands and fingers on my right side and when ever I get hot it make it worse, plus my heartburn is really getting on my nerves.
Ne one know of ne thing that may work or I can try to get rid of the swollen, sausage like fingers .
I'm going to sleep on my left side from now and c if that helps, ne suggestions will be nice though xx

There's nowt you can do apart from keep your hands elevated. Which you can't do when you're asleep unless you suspend a rope to the ceiling and tie your wrists to it

Waking up with sausage fingers is just one of the joys of pregnancy I'm afraid. Watch out for your rings. If they get really tight, best to take them off and accept that you're not going to be able to wear them until after you've had your babe. You don't want to have to cut them off (rings, not fingers, obv)
