No you won't you'll be fine and the MLU won't have you lol. By the end of that 24 hours you will be so tired all you will want is your own bed.

I had Squeak at 10:30 am the Wednesday and came home 9:30am on the Thursday.. I went to my nail appt at 9am on the Friday too pmsl.. it had to be done!

Dot arrived 10:30pm on the Friday night, I came home at MIDNIGHT on the Sunday because there was no way on earth I was staying a second longer and I did the school run Monday morning. Granted I burst into tears the second anyone spoke to me lol.. but I still did it... on crutches .. lol

Our local birthing centre doesn't allow post-natal stays at all. You can't transfer from hospital to the MLU. Have you got confirmation that yours will?

  • Hi,

Anyone know about this? esp whats in the goodie bag

I really loved my food when I had both my babies in hospital, I really didn't find a fault at all.
I didn't mind the beds and pillows either, was always very clean and tidy, got offered a lot of help if needed, plus the midwife would look after your baby so you could get some sleep or have a bath in peace, was lovely.
I had no problems with the nhs at all
I stayed in 3 days with ds1 out of choice
And with ds2 I stayed in about 24 hours at the most , I did want to be go home straight away but wasn't allowed as he had shoulder dysteria

If I do have to have a c section with this one(I've gota chose) I have been told it usually 3 days before you can go home.

The only thing I didn't like was being woke up to someone giving birth screaming but that just one of those things xx
