queen_b yes... i dont know, she ws very skinny before pregnant so i think her body is storing fat quicker, i really do not know, she is one of those people that check on what they eat all the time cos put on weight easily. I want chocolate aswell, but after eating a massive amount of veg with my roast dinner at my MIL then a rasberry cheesecake i am so full right now !...
eli, i think the list is fine.
Gilli what is arnica tablets, i thought they were only creams, can u take them while BF ?
saffagal, hope u manage to sleep better and have a nice day tomorrow.
i think i will go to sleep myslf right now, i am feeling tired but need the loo constantly !Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
It does like all medicines, homeopathic or otherwise advise you to consult a medical professional before taking them if pregnant or breastfeeding, but I know a lot of people who have used them after birth while feeding. I think to try and take them as soon after the birth as possible.

Wow elisabeth!!! You have more stuff than me, and my baby is already here! Lol
I'm on phone, I'll try to comment on your sections:
CLOTHES NEWBORN:
Don't buy more outfits yet, I've not used any and she'll be a month old next week (where does the time go?) she's on sleepsuits mist of the time. Check if the ones you've got have integrated mittens, I had lots given to us and I'm only using the 5-6 we have with mittens because she loses the other ones within minutes. I think you have lots of clothes, wait until your baby is born and you've tried some stuff and you know what s/he likes and the size that suits her/him best. I've used so far 5-6 sleepsuits, about the same number of vests and probably one outfit and snowsuit for going out. Newborns take a lot of time and energy, plus they should sleep a lot and dribble milk when feeding, you probably won't have him/her in nice clothes all the time and will choose clothing that is easy to take out for a nappy change.
SLEEPING:
I haven't got a cotbed yet! Lol
I have one mattress, 2 fitted sheets, 2 flat sheets and two cellular blankets. I have a washing drier and I'm perfectly fine.
I have the Graco travel cot crib basinette, on offer at Argos. If you plan to travel or don't want to move the moses from room to room, it's great. It's not full size cot,.88cm long I think, more like a moses but will get used for longer. And later can be used as a toy box tidy thing, or folded and stored away.
BATHING:
Lol, why so many sponges? Have you got a natural one for babies? Best thing ever, super soft. I have a tippitoes natural sponge, comes in a box. I was given "baby sponges" that look just like normal ones but softer, never used them. The smallest bath I found was the tippitoes mini bath. I got told my mw and HV not to use baby bath shampoos, only water.
CHANGING:
I have a changing table in the nursery but I only used it once. It's inconvenient for us to go there after she's been with us a certain temperature in the living room. We.end up using the changing mat on the floor and kneeling over.
e have a box with all the nappy changing stuff in the living room,I think the box was intended for the bath stuff and toiletries but it's been really useful this other way.
FEEDING:
20 bibs???? Lol we had three but now use muslin cloths all time, she woke up at the sound of the velcro. We got told by the midwife to use Aptamil, as it's closer to breastmilk. Are you planning to BF?
I don't have baby hangers or nappy bin.
Distilled witch hazel without alcohol for maternity pads.
You don't use half of the stuff they tell you it's basic.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

20 bibs sounds about right to me. Especially when they get to the age where thèy discover their hands and chew them and dribble everywhere. Also helps if your baby spits up a lot.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Elisabeth - I'm posting from my phone so hope it makes sense.
More vests. Don't get too much stuff in one size though. My little boy was out of newborn really quick and in 3-6 by 8 weeks tried a 6-9 sleepsuits on him yesterday at 12 weeks and it fits!
Don't buy anymore nappy cream you only need a tiny bit. It will last ages.
Buy infacol in just in case. I know it might seem like a waste of £3 if you don't need it but if you do it's so much better to be prepared.
You need a coat/snowsuit. Also do you have any pram blankets from when you are out and about?
Sling wise try a Victoria sling lady stretchy wrap to start with. Awesome things. I love mine.
Don't buy too many nappies either. As a newborn huggies leaked on jake do he's been a pampers baby up till now. He's currently wearing size 3 huggies though. Different brands and sizes work for different people xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Agree with everything Ikkle has said. 20 bibs sounds about right, I could go through 5 or 6 in the one day in the early stage  xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I guess I've been lucky with the dribbling then, although I use lots of muslin cloths instead, yet nowhere near 20. My LO doesn't like the sound of the velcro and we stopped using them in favour of the cloths.
On the pump, I have the Medela Swing, unfortunately I haven't got much use out of it, but I do not regret buying it, it's very comfortable, it's not very noisy and it doesn't hurt as I've heard others do.
On the clothes, my LO has overgrown already quite a lot of clothes, and she's just past 3 weeks. Some of them she never wore. Luckily most of them were given / second hand, but I'm glad I've waited and I didn't buy any myself because now I can buy what I find useful and in the right size. My washing drier gives you clothes to hang directly in the wardrobe within 4h, so that's the reason I'm not using lots of different clothes I guess, I'm fine with around 6 different sets, but I guess it all depends of how long it takes to get clean clothes. I want to go through the first month grow spurt before buying any more stuff.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Quick one from me...make sure you have a 0-3pnths suit and vest in hospital bag. I did by chance which was lucky as our little chubber didn't fit her newborn clothes!0

Hello ladies, it's nice to see its gotten chattier on here today it was very quiet over the weekend!
I had like period pain cramps last night for about 4 hourswas getting a little worried but managed to go to sleep and I feel fine this morning.
We were given a lot of clothes so I know we don't need anymore! Maybe just a outfit because everything is sleepsuits, bodysuits etc. We do need a crib though and bathing things but apart from that I think we could be nearly sorted!31 weeks today

Each babe is different of course but I've put my comments above. In terms of what you've already got I guess my suggestions are pretty useless"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
