Hope u had ur 7 hs of sleep :)

Iam here, got up just 1 hour ago. Playing with DD in bed and thinking what we will do today, being the last day we can do something, she does not fancy going to town, 1 hs journey just to have lunch out and then shops, yes it is not fun for a child. Instead i think we will be walking down to our nearest town 25 min and then park, hire a movie and walk 1 hs back to nannys house. I need all the walking i can get, want to get my baby ready for birth before due date if possible at all. BAck home they always say that being active helps a lot, and send you for a loooooong walk every day when you are overdue to get baby out soon.

    Morning everyone!

Just done a list update as mayforher is now a boldie from yesterday, happy due date if you are still reading/posting.

Great news Morocha from your scan yesterday. I had been told that being as active as possible is best for getting baby out, only issue for me is that it can aggravate my PGP. I think I might need some fresh air though today my head feels muffled.

Re baby monitors, I have bought BT digital baby monitor and pacifier. Managed to get it when it on a deal. I liked it because it has room temp indicator on it so we can tell from the parent unit what temp the babies room is without having to go and disturb. It also has some music and a light display which again can be controlled from the parent unit so if baby is a bit grizzly it might help settle baby again??? I didn't fancy one of these ones with a mat as I know I would be too paranoid. Best way to go about it is decide what features you want and then read reviews online to help make a decision.

Bamama - I hope I get a baby that sleeps for 7 hours, that's fab!

Elisabeth - re bump growth I grew 2 cm in 1 week, between weeks 30-31 which was before Christmas, midwife was a little surprised as it put up above the 90th centile line on my chart. Will be very interested to see the next growth at my 34 week check.

Off to make lunch shortly, going to have eggy bread. Been craving it for weeks but never been bothered to cook it, I am going to do it today.

Wanted to order our cotbed mattress but I have a feeling it will come whilst we are away on holiday and I don't want the stress of having to try and pick it up but it's on offer at the moment, meh!

He's amazing Queen_B. He demanded loads of feeding from around 3 til he went down at 12 though.
  • hello all just popping in to say hi - very quiet these days on here! We have the Angelcare monitor with movement mat - cost £134 from Amazon - Amazon Family have 20% off them this month plus the £10 off when you sign up so £124. Haven't used it yet but going to be aware that the movement mat might drive me mad but I'd rather have 100 false alarms and get up each time than a real one and know nothing about it. Going to be horrible when she goes in her cot anyway, I'd have her in the moses basket until she was 15 if I could!!

Not long for some of you now - how are you feeling? My movement was slow from about 37-38 weeks and then once I hit 40-42 weeks I had to have a chair in the kitchen to sit down. I'd gained about a stone in those two weeks with just fluid but it was some amazing weight loss post birthing of the baby!

I said I missed being pregnant today which I do, I stroke my jellied belly fondly and then remember there is just a stomach in there! I've stopped talking to it now though luckily! Of course it is brilliant having the baby out though!

Hope you are all well as can be :) Anyone heard how Rups is doing? Is she home?

Rups is good moneypenny. Hoping to get discharged today. Andre is a hungry baby (with all the food talk Rups did it shouldn't come as a surprise). She's seen a feeding specialist who told her she was breastfeeding right, she had doubts because it hurt, and I think they've decided to combo feed :)

Am so pleased rups and baby Andre are getting on well, and he wasn't too over due haha.

Bamama 6 hours and 7 hours sleep at night is brilliant, I hope Dewi keeps it up he must be one very content little boy!

The most freddy has slept is 5 hours but its usually between 3 and 4 hours, I have read back and can't remember much more lol.
