morning everyone :) how warm is it today! its lovely to see the sun but ive been digging up garlic and now im quite hot :) baby girl is very wiggly today, all she's doing is kicking, so nice to feel her so much though. Now going to sort out baby clothes, bought 28 bodysuits from a lady near me for £5.00, some really nice next and pumpkin patch ones too so im chuffed :) might order the mamas and papas carrycot today to go with my plum sola :) why is mamas and papas stuff gorgeous but very expensive!

I suppose that's true too :) You'd think though that people would put that on their listings? It's also surprising that nothing listed is used, although I guess if the baby is still wearing the stuff they do like it might be the case!

My ankles and feet are absolutely huge Taadaa, not good.

I didn't realise that you actually swell up more after the birth. It only lasts a few days but I puffed up so much I looked deformed :D

toni_ have you tried looking on your local gumtree for the carrycot? A lot of mamas and papas things get listed on mine.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Savage a lot of people buy stuff specifically to sell on. I know someone who spent over £500 in the Next sales purely to be able to sell it on on ebay :(

Hope everyone else is ok. Hugs for those who need them.

My pillows from PPP magazine have turned up am currently sat cocooned in the Summer Ultimate Comfort one lol. :)

I remember reading somewhere that if you're hoping to weigh yourself just after the birth and feel better that you've dropped the baby/placenta weight, don't - you can retain so much water that you weigh more after birth than immediately before

:hello:fluffnutter - how are you and little Freddie doing? Have you managed to sort out the problems you were having with feeding?

This is my problem too lol, thats why I've set myself some little crafty things to do for the babies room so I'm still doing cute baby stuff but it takes a bit longer than just walking into a shop and spending a fortune lol x

Not really :(. But I'm resigned to my plan B. I have real trouble getting him to latch on on one side, so I'm expressing every other feed and bottle feeding him from that side. It's a right pain but it's way too painful for him to feed at the moment. I'm hoping to try again in a few days when things have healed a bit. Might get some support from the breastfeeding workshops about latching him on. Works a dream on the other side! Why can't humans be more symmetrical? :D

But on the plus side, he has about three cute spurts per day and is now so gorgeous that people faint in awe when they see him. Plus he's growing at a right rate - he put on 7 ounces in three days (how??) so the feeding problems are obviously just being felt by me not him :D
