do you know i just thought of this! when i went to see the midwife on wed, my urine showed trace of glucose, and protein and those white blood cells. then i was went off to labour ward and in the evening when the midwives in the triage took my wee sample and tested it, they said it was all clear! so what the hell happened there? is that possible? i was thinking about that and wondered hope it doesnt show up when i least expect it and i dont know about it until too late? you know?
some of the things showing in your urine such as glucose can be from things you've eaten, between seeing your midwife and the triage midwife that will have passed from your system so no longer showing in your urine. Also it's possible that your wee sample became contaminated. This could be something as simple as you having soap residue on your lady place when doing the sample, to the container you collected your sample being in not being sterile. Happened to me a few times. As long as you don't have any symptoms of things such as pre-eclampsia etc then there's nothing to worry about. If your midwife was worried she would have asked you to do a mid-stream urine collection and sent it off to be tested. SO STOP WORRYING lol xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hey cheqmate06, my daughter Alice was born 24/11 weighing 6lb15 too, how mad!
Just thought I'd pop back (am I still allowed on this thread?!) to say a massive WELL DONE to my former due date twin savage - hooray for baby! And also everyone else who has had their babies. And in fact to everyone who is still waiting, you're all doing really well.
As for me, I am loving being a mummy! Alice is super-awesome and astoundingly amazing, she is just past three weeks old now and I am still spending a fair bit of time gazing at her going "oh wow did I really make you?!"
Things have mainly gone absolutely perfectly. Those of you who read my birth story will know that the labour was nice and quick and Alice has remained a very good girl ever since. I won't say it isn't difficult, low points have included getting an infection in my episiotomy (owwwww!), an outbreak of coldsores like nothing I have ever experienced, I am now on my seventh since she arrived, and some bad nights due to lack of sleep (she is not a fan of lying in her moses basket at all, and she is almost entirely nocturnal!) but all in all it is fab. OH back to work tomorrow though - eek!
I am typing this with Alice in my lap, she is the most perfect thing I have ever seen and it will be exactly the same for all of you I know.0 -
Hi miss bunbury lovely to hear you and Alice are doing so well ( except for the infection & cold sores!) it's so strange to think this time next week there will be a baby here! I look at the tiny clothes on the dryer and wonder who they are for sometimes!!
This bug I've got is really nasty I don't ever remember having a cold this bad ever! Had some sleep but lots of coughing sessions too. Back for a few hours now see if I can recharge my batteries a bit more. Antibiotics certainly seem to be moving things though I don't feel a great deal better yet! I'm so impatient lol!0 -
Best of luck AidaLittle man arrived 13 Dec 20120

morning all..
nice to see you on here Aida. good luck sweety. you will have your little one soon. yay!
thanks for the advise regarding the wee moneypenny and ikkle. i try not to worry. promise. i dont like it.it was weird as the midwife did send that same sample off to the hospital and said a midwife would ring me for a gtt test as i havent had one. so that same eveining the wee was clear of stuff so maybe they just left it? i guess wont worry till i get symptoms like you said. isee the gp next week fo rmy 40 weeks appointment. am hoping i dont reach there and can have my bubs next week. a week left!!
still feel coldy and runny nose. yest i annoyed dh so much as couldnt sleep with my mouth closed so snored like hell so he went next door. missed him in bed though.meh
will try and head to the post office later to post some cards. it will take me ages no doubt. hope everyone is ok. moneypenny hope the cold goes away soon. someone told me the other day having a cold could also be we are near labour. lol. lets see hey? i dont want this when i am pushing etc as what will i concentrate on, breathing properly or pushing? lol xBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Hello everyone, lovely to read birth stories and how life with a little one is turning out!
Had 24 hours of contractions, but they've calmed down now. Just taking it easy before Wednesday! Feel HUGE as fluid levels obviously increased.
