How do i delete everything from the My Flash Disk directory, as it won't let me delete the Audiomanager file in a folder, and another one.
God its sooooo frustrating!!!!!
If it won't let you delete them then just keep them there as I also had the same issue when converting mine.
Good Luck0 -
After 5 hours of messing around I have at last changed it from French to English.
I did the following:
1) Install the Active sync software so the Nav can talk to the PC
2) Delete everything from the My Flash Disk folder on the Nav
3) Copy MapRegions folder from Map Material CD to My Flash Disk Folder
4) Create a folder called INSTALL inside my flash disc (My flash disc\INSTALL)
5) Copy the contents of the\Installation\GB folder (not the GB folder itself just all the contents in it) on the MEDION GoPal disk to My Flash Disk\INSTALL folder
6) Hit the reset button
Upon reset it started to install itself. I did get an audiomanager.rom not located message which I ignored. This then ran through the install process, rebooted itself and I then hooked it back upto Activesync and copied the audiomanager.exe from the navigation folder into the top level of my flash disk.
Another reboot and hey presto it's english.
I now just need to figure out how to enable the speed camera feature and also add the travelguide feature for UK.
I hope you can follow this and good luck.
(i found this info at the bottom of page 6 of the uk manual that is on the Medion GOPAL disc)

If it won't let you delete it then just leave it there and continue onto the next step.

Got a french version today.....tried to delete the My Flash Disk files but it wont let me in to look at them - either just wont open or crashes windows explorer. Tried the suggestion on simply copying the maps over but it comes up with the error : Can not convert file.....not enough space on the disk. Any ideas?? Am I doing it wrong?
Sort of expected that for £60 I would at least get something that worked in english!!!0 -

You need to make sure that you install and use the Active sync software that came with the sat nav. When you use this it's lets you explore the device's folders which in turn let you delete the required content.
Good Luck :T0 -
If anyone wishes a new icon for the tomtom please PM me with your email address.
Or if you wish to make your own, call it Icon_tomtom.png or whatever
Copy the Icon_tomtom.png file to \My Flash Disk\Navigation\menu\320240\
Just replace the line in your menu.xml file under the TomTomNavigator section to show
<resource path="navigation\menu\320240/Icon_tomtom.png" />
Reboot, and Robert's your mother's brother0 -

Hi All /DWL,
I'm also interested in the European maps, but the map on the medion website appears to be only for the PNA 510 (product code 40018766):
"These maps are not compatible with any other software versions
These maps are only compatible with the models listed below:
GoPal PNA510 with GoPal Version 1.x Advanced Edition Software"
Anybody know whether this is true or not? I bought the device assuming that I would be able to install a Europe map, living in Germany, but being back in the UK over Easter. If I can't install at least a German map, then I may as well give it back...0
