I was! Have reloaded the software and still facing the same problem. When I click explore I can see the folders but when I click into any of them it crashes. Did someone mention there being an updated version of Active sync available?

It does get power through usb.Just taken batterys out and it works.As the cigarette lighter connection plugs into the same usb i socket should have guessed

to get a media player on it too just get hold of tcpmp and put it on to the memory card or flash disk and make a shorcut like mine up there.

Need to make some proper tomtom and tcpmp icons now

I have followed the instructions from here and have it all in English now. I didn't think and didn't save the French Map, and would really appreciate it if someone has still got the French maps if they could let me know because I sometimes go to France to help friends renovate their farmhouse and it would be fantastic to have.

Someone mentioned about Ative Sync not working with Vista. I also have Vista. Don't install active sync but simple plug in the USB cable, open explorer and after about 2 minutes the icon for the device magically appears.

Also if anyone is thinking about returning the deive and is located near west london or Oxford, please don't, please PM me, I'm happy to take this off your hands, my brother also wants one so I can pass it onto him and am sure that I can get the unit working successfully.

Can you please tell me waht cd this "7" folder is on. I can't find it on any!

Switched from french to english, could not delete Audiomanager though this errors on reset but when ignored boots fine.

I only have three icons now on the front screen when i had 4 when it was french. Is this right?

I found I could not delete Audiomanager from the flash drive but I could rename it. I renamed to Audiomanager1 and on reboot the install script went through a treat.

I then deleted Audiomanager1
