Can you please tell me waht cd this "7" folder is on. I can't find it on any!

Switched from french to english, could not delete Audiomanager though this errors on reset but when ignored boots fine.

I only have three icons now on the front screen when i had 4 when it was french. Is this right?

It is on the MEDION GoPal disk and the icon you are missing on the front screen is the travelguide which I have not yet worked out how to get bacK

I copied the "7" folder into the "my flash drive\INSTALL" folder that I set up before.

Rebooted the unit which kicked off the install, went onto the sat nav N icon and waited for the signal to pick up where I was. I then had the little red square in the bottom right hand corner. I clicked on it and enabled the speed camera setting.

When i put the Medion GoPAL Easygoing More POI disk in it flashes up welcome to microsoft windows xp install screen!
The contents of the disk are
    Docs
    Dotnetfix
    I386

    Valueadd
    and some setup files.

    No "7" folder in sight!!

Do you think i've got a dodgy disk?

    Is it a big file?

Make sure autorun is disabled. The cd i HAVE is CD202250 and the contents of the 7 folder is 3.19MB.

Looks like you have a different cd

    Yup that the cd number.
Must be a bad pressing. The label is very washed out!

Don't suppose you could email it to me. I'll send you a pm with my address.

    Many thanks if you can.
  • Mine turned up today and in French, many thanks to ljjf for there invaluable posts on how to change over to english. 3 hours later mines working fine. Now for the bells and whistles - how to get it to play MP3's:D

Forgot to add, prior to deleting the french maps, copied them to my hard drive - will drop them onto CD (when I can be bothered - have had enough now) you never know when you might want them.

Got my French Medion today......am trying desperately to change all the software across, thanks to all who've posted their methods.......I'm sure I'll get there in the end.

Just one thing - has anyone managed to get the Travel Guide for the UK on? I haven't a clue how to do it......I realise it's a bit basic but would like to have it all the same.
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"
