Hello Crazy Kitten, welcome. You are not on your own!!!! We are all in it together. I do worry I don't have much sometimes but as long as we save steadily I am sure we will get a large amount at the end.
A few days left till payday. Redundancies being announced at work. We may also face a salary cut. Now is the best time to start saving as I will probably have a cut next year. I hope I keep my job.:oAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

A second welcome to CrazyKitten. Starting at that age is great! Though I was money savvy then. Now I'm getting it!
oldtractor -exactly that. It's so nice not to have to struggle for that cash. It may have come from somewhere else but it was there.
A fair month Mse wise. I have taken some money from saves to get my son a new bike. He's had the last one since juniors and is due to leave regular school this year. Plus he's that bit taller now so needs an upgrade.
Trips organized for Easter hols. May need a little more but that's put aside.

I agree, I'm 26 and starting from Scratch and seeing everyone with big saving pots is disheartening. I currently have about £450 over two credit cards but determined to get them paid off and start saving!!
You've got 3 years on me! Welcome
Well had a good couple of weeks, just over £1,000 in my savings account and £337 in my holiday/laptop account. Next few weeks will be v.tight as I've been made permanent at work :T so transitioning from weekly to monthly pay, but this should help me to budget better in the long run.0 -
So far you are all doing well. Want to be saver your account is looking good. Old tractor sorry about the vet bills. Davenport yay to hols bet son is happy with bike.
Sometimes we have to spend a bit of money. It's not like we are frittering it away. I think this is allowed. At least we are saving some and we are minimising waste. I think it's a good thing.
I am still debating whether to give up Virgin Tv. I will wait to see what happens to salary. I have till June to decide.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Hi.
I'm 20 and am a fairly regular saver but overtime has dried up at work just when I need it - during summer hols from uni. My problem is, almost all my basic wage is eaten up by flat bills and my car finance and insurance. This means getting to Septembers loan payment may be a struggle!!
However, I did get £2000 inheritance when a relative passed last year, however I'd like to use that as my base rather than dipping into it. I currently have 2 TSB Class Plus accounts at their max but obviously will be reduced over the tight summer.
Any ideas on what I can do to make some money between now and Sept?
Great thread btw, very encouraging stories!May Overtime - £76.23
June - £176.05 (so far)
Long way to go!!0 -
