Possibly... having done some searches I can't find any description of the payload for susear.a so it's possible... As you say it's listed as a Trojan then it is entirely possible that it's payload is one that is linked to a keylogger or similar.
What AV software do you use? (Sorry this should probably be on the techie board lol) and what exactly was it that found the susear.a infection?
I use AVG free for AV and I *think* it was the AVG anti spyware that found the trojan, but it was veerrrrry late!!0 -

Ah AVG... *cough* sorry can't stand it personally and I don't care what anyone saysDo some of the online scans that are free - there are links over on the Techie board for the free ones for symantec and Trend Micro and others. Run those through and let me know if you get any hits with those
PM if you want then I won't miss the message
(And before anyone starts telling me how great AVG is then don't bother
please!)

Ive only just started selling on ebay and use pay pal but dont really know alot about the fraud side of ebay, but was wondering if you could just tell me if this is a bad idea or if it is ok, after reading about your experences I am a bit worried about what I have been doing. When I sell things I always print a copy of the Payment summery off and just put thanks for paying etc etc. But it does have my email address on and my sellers name (which they would know anyway) Is this ok? If not what is an acceptable reciept type thing to send with item or dont people send them?Sorry to be a pain but thanks for reading.I miss my mum every minute of every day

I like Trend, but the trouble is, every virus it ever found for me, it's been unable to deal with!
It turned out to be quicker to reformat than trying to cure itMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
hmm, i'm wondering if there has been some sort of breach of security at ebay recently because I had my account hacked this week and I KNOW I haven't fallen for any phishing emails and I NEVER click into ebay through an email regardless of whether it seems legit or not. I have McAfee firewall and virus scan on my machine and have not had any unusual activity show up on either. I was lucky and caught the listings after 3 hours and only 2 sales.
I only found out I had been hijacked because someone "Asked seller a question" through the auction and of course it came to my email address.
I am gutted for the 2 buyers who were stung but I telephoned them by requesting thier details through Ebay and had them recall their paypal payments and it seems like we have managed to minimise the damage done by this JOKER who is sadly untraceable.
The great news is that I spoke to live help and the removed all trace from my account instantly. I would get back onto them and re-confirm that they are going to zero your balance.
My blood ran cold when I realised what had happened. Nasty.Good Luck, and I feel for you.
I had mine hacked this week too, I had no warning or any suspicious emails. It was ebay that alerted me to it after they had removed and credited me back the fees for 80 pairs of shoes listed for sale on my account! :eek:0 -
Hi Newmumagain. I wouldn't worry about that, it's standard practice. In order to hack your account from that information they would also need your password, which I trust you aren't giving them!

Thats weird...how do they know you didn't list them unless you told them?
Somethings not quite right at Ebay towers me thinks.

I was running two of them at once, both had got half way through and then my system crashed
One at a time perhaps? :rotfl:0 -
LOL yes - I would only run one at a time
they would be fighting to scan the same files and use the same resources and it could keel the system over
Run one at a time and see what it detectsDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
