    :T LMAO, excellent!!:T

Looks like I was right about the other hijacked accounts. Had an email from Ebay Trust and safety saying "we notice that you have had ASQ contact with this person. Please do not proceed with any arrangements made via this route."
Just going to check that the auctions have been stopped
    Hurrah!

    Well done, well spotted!

    :T

I've been slightly heartened this morning as I got a very grovelly email from ebay apologising for all the hassle, thanking me for taking the initiative to contact all the sellers which must have been very tedious for me, absolutely no chance of me getting any negs or NPB strikes, just report anyone who gives me hassle. Also have had a few email exchanges with one of the aussie sellers who has been really nice, told me that he'd gone to live help as I'd suggested on my About Me page and they had refunded his fees whilst he waited. So that's good to know it was that straightforward. Should be the same if I get any neg feedback too.

If only they could all be that nice.

Still no contact from the US army woman. Almost want her to neg me so I can neg her back for her utter lack of understanding and then get mine removed :rotfl:

Think I have found 2 more this morning :( using the same photos as the one yesterday.

LMAO @ wanting her to neg you. Makes you feel like that doesn't it?

Please you seem to be getting somewhere, I'm amazed you have had any sort of email from Ebay...They didn't even acknowledge that I had contacted my "buyers" by telephone to let them know. So well done!

Keep fighting the good fight...keep us up to date with progress, particularly with GI Jane!

I have had my Ebay account hijacked twice in 7 days! He changed my email address and password so that I could not access my account. He then emailed 10 other users (19 out of 20 were American) each time offering huge amounts of money for ending their auctions early:

    Hello seller,
I'm interested in the immediate purchase of this item, i will be offering $1,500.00 USD for the total cost including shipping & insurance via USPS Global Express Mail (3-5days), i will be paying via PayPal, you can send me a money request from paypal to my email address at (halnre005@yahoo.com). I will be glad if you can end auction for the item now and meet me online. You can chat or send me an email via this yahoo
    id (halnre005@yahoo.com) IM me on
    yahoo screen name= halnre005
    Msn/window live messenger = halnre005@hotmail.com
    AIM = halnre005
    Thanks

The same contact details were used on both hacks. I obviously changed my password to something unguessable after the first time... I can't believe that it has happened again. Apparently this has been occuring a lot recently:

To Ebay's credit they suspended my account quickly, blaming spoof emails. The first time I was pretty sure I hadn't clicked on one of these, the second time I know for sure I didn't - but I had used my Three phone to bid on Ebay just previously to my account being hijacked - has anyone heard of passwords being intercepted in this way?

Help! I have also had my account hacked for the first time. It's odd as (i) I haven't been online for a couple of weeks and it was all fine when I logged in yesterday and (ii) I am paranoid able clicking on links in emails. I tried to get ebay to send me a new password, but it is claiming I don't know the answer to any of my personal details, but they are right! Help! Who do I contact?

somethings up...I've had a REAL email ...someone attempted to change my password etc and they have stopped it, just logged in direct (not used the link in the email) and gone through the verification , secret password and then set a new password/secret question

Hermia, you need to follow the advice here. The best people to contact are live help, but they don't open until tomorrow 10am so you need to email ebay now using the links given, but contact live help as soon as you are able.

Both of you, Hermia and Browntoa, it may be an idea to change the password on your email account too. I'm not sure how they manage the hijacks, but I know they accessed my email account.

Not heard from her again, fortunately, although she hasn't done a mutual.

However, I have just had another American person who I think is even more stupid than her - there are two items of theirs that I've "won". He's reported me as NPB and I keep responding telling him that I don't want the items, account hijack, full explanation of what he has to do, and he comes back with YOU OWE, YOU PAY... YOU SORT OUT, NOT MY JOB..... type thing and then finishes off his messages with GOD BLESS.

My latest reply was I'm not paying and will not respond further to this dispute. Dunno what happens now, but I couldn't really give a monkeys what he does next as I'm reasonable sure that ebay will do as they say and remove NPB strikes and negs from my account. Again, if he negs me I will certainly neg him back if it lets me, just for being a complete idiot :rotfl:AVOID THIS MUPPET, HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND ENGLISH.... GOD BLESS XX
