    Don't see the appeal tbh.

Wasn't this type of naive-young-woman-meets-slightly-mental-more-expereinced-man-with-a-dash-of-s&m story done in Secretary years ago?

Can you recommend some please? :D

Try Lora Leigh. Look for her earlier works. The Tempting SEALs series isn't bad. Or so I'm told:rotfl:

Yes, but the young woman in secretary, embraced the lifestyle, in this, from what I've heard (I really must read this book to find out for myself, annoying as it may be) the young woman, doesn't.
And in secretary, she was slightly mental and he saved her, then she saved him (and her).

It's appeal, seems to be with the non book reading public, they've just realised you can read a book and it can be interesting. Maybe we should roll with that.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

I recall finding a very racy erotic novel in my mother's room back in the 70s but can't for the life of me remember what it's called. She wasn't impressed when she discovered I'd been sneaking it into my room to read :rotfl: :rotfl:
“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”

If you want beautifully written, sensuous stories that can also make you blush then I recommend any erotic fiction written by Anne Rice. I read her stories several years ago I still remember them now and STILL wish s*x could be like that!

Even her more "mainstream" stories like Interview with a Vampire are racier then shades of grey!

As for shades of grey...it had me wishing I could bang my head against the wall after the first chapter, the way it's written just makes me cringe!

I'm off to sell it on facebook for twice what I paid, it's very popular on there!

I was looking up Anne Rices Sleeping Beauty trilogy earlier.
I have NO interest in Fifty Shades either.
I was reading the Black Lace books in the "90s/early "00s and they are MUCH better. In fact they are relaunching in September and they have tested the water by already re releasing The Ninety Days of Genevieve.

Here is a trilogy of books that were released by Black Lace long before Twilight.
    Mathilde Maddens Silver Werewolf trilogy.

    Love cave! Haha :rotfl:

I've not read them and not really that interested, I read erotic fiction but these just dont appeal.

I have to say though, despite how badly written the books appear to be, I have seen many women who have never read a whole book in thier lives hoovering these up and actually reading and enjoying it. If they can get people into reading then I think that is brilliant. :T
