Who's reading Fifty Shades of Grey?

Options
I didn't know there was an app for a kindle on your iPad so l downloaded that as it worked out £1 cheaper over the 3 books! :rotfl:

Come on, who else here is reading it? Everywhere l go women get talking about this book so l decided to download it. Try not to give the story endings away as l'm only just finishing the first book but l have to say l'm hooked! and l usually only read biographies or true stories.

And who would your Mr.Grey be? I'm imaginging he's Jake Gyllenhal or Matthew McConaughey :o (and Scarlett Johannsen for Ana).

Happy moneysaving all.

Meeeeeeee:D Three quarters of the way through book 2.

Mr Grey - I would choose Henry Cavill
Ana - Felicty Jones from Chalet Girls

As lovely as she is, I think Scarlett Johanssen is too old for the part. Ana needs to be younger a 'fresher' for it to work

I've read all three and loved them, I'd like the guy who plays Eric in true blood to be Christian. I love Christian :(
Mummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012
    :A - November 2011 (mc)

Looking at my crystal ball, I predict charity shops will be full of these novels very shortly. :)

    I haven't read it, as I'm not a "mommy" I'm not sure it's allowed :D

I haven't and I'm not sure I will. There's been a lot of fuss on Twitter on the hidden messages on portrayal of women and !!!!!!. I can't really comment though, having not read them :-)
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

I've not read it either. But I'm sick of hearing about it on Facebook. I've noticed that it was all the women who read all the Twilight stuff whos raving about it.
Personally, from what I have heard about it, I reckon the Dulux paint catalogue sounds a more interesting read. AND they do more than 50 shades of any colour, not just grey :p:rotfl:

I found the beginning bit of the first book boring so I admit, I skipped a chapter or 2 to get to the smut lol x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
  • Ive read all 3, and am on my third time round reading them lol. I do really like them as you can tell from the ammount of times ive read them, but I find the sex scenes VERY repetitive, seriously how many times can you read "come for me ana" without thinking blah blah blah!!!! However I still love to read them, I think them and the Hunger games are my favourite books at the min.

Film wise I WANT Ian Somerholder (Damon in the Vampire Diaries) to play Christian, he's apparently been considered for the role from what ive seen on fb, but who knows. I just think he's got the arrogance and looks to pull him off, Damons very like him attitude wise, just not in the kinky sex way-but hey its just acting and I would pay good money to see him in a film like that lol :D

From the reviews I've read, the author has as much chance of putting hidden messages in about anything, as building her own nuclear reactor.

They did discuss this on Jeremy Vine yesterday, with some vile woman who said people shouldn't read it as it "gave them ideas". You should be happy with your husbands apparently and not need titillating !!!!!!. (especially about bdsm)
I almost went straight onto Amazon and purchased it. :rotfl:

Finished a few weeks ago. Try Olivia Cunning's 'sinners' series. Makes 50 look like a kids book ;)
