I'm on book 3 and only read them to see what the hype was about. I would hardly call it Mummy !!!!!! the sex scenes are too frequent and repetitive and they just get boring.

I'm finding myself skipping past them now. I really struggled with book one but book two was a little bit better. I only carried on to see what Christians back story is, now I may as well see it through to the end.

It's not one I would recommend to friends though.

I have to be honest - I don't see what all the fuss is about. If someone posted on here saying her partner was keeping tabs on her, isn't happy about her talking to other men and likes hitting her then there would be a domestic abuse outcry.

If you added in the undertones of him emotionally blackmailing her into some sexual acts that she isn't comfortable with, add her obvious immaturity, and you've basically got 'grooming' and low level sexual assault/ABH too. I've seen an edited version....

Him: I want to do this
Her: Not really sure about that
Him: I'm going to do it
    Her: Honestly, I'm not keen
Him: But it's only because I want to be with you and it's the only way I can be with you - I want to be with you, so why don't you see that this is what you can do for me so I can be with you?
Her - *He's rich and gorgeous, so can't possibly be a sexual predator going after a dumb, naive girl, because I'm not that, am I* OK!

I have a friend who used to be into the sub/dom scene (she was a sub) and she said it is entirely wrong in the way it portrays the relationship. She thinks it gives both of them a bad name! The writing isn't great either.

Ok so I've just finished the first smut bit. Have to say I'd rather read a nancy Friday book at least some of the fantasies in her book are slightly original.

The lip biting thing is annoying though. Don't bite your lip I want to bite it, hard. Yeah cos that's sexy!

I've read all 3 books and I enjoyed the series. :o It wasn't brilliantly written but it's a nice bit of escapist trash and so easy to read and oddly compelling. If you overthink it you're just going to ruin it for yourself, stop looking out for the annoying 'Oh My's' and lip biting etc or you'll go crazy ;) Oh and although I recognised the slight Twilight link I couldn't stand those books, normally I'm into decent literature so this is a big change for me! ;)

I'm another one who pictures Ian Somerhalder as Christian in the movie, not sure about Ana though. :) Anyone but Kristen Stewart as she's simply appalling as an actress and the fact that she's one of the highest paid actresses in the world right now is a very sad sign.

Thanks for the Sinners recommendation, Pulliptears, will check that out! :)

I read the sample chapter on Amazon and I thought it was utter drivel. If people think this is great literature then they obviously don't read very much.

I absolutely hate being one of those people that says something is !!!! without actually reading it myself (which is how I ended up reading the twilight series in the first place) but after reading all three of these books If I didm't already know beforehand that this had started off as Twilight fan fiction, I definitely would have after the first couple of chapters.

I am peeved at the idea that this is even being labelled as being Mommy !!!!!! because I found it about as erotic as finding a lump of cold mashed potato stuck to my shoe. Far too much angst and lipbiting to be honest.

If anyone wants a good trilogy, check out The Sleeping Beauty trilogy that Anne Rice did under the pseudonym A N Roquelaure

I am about 3/4 way through the first book, and to be honest i have read much better - and i read a lot of trashy romance books (Can usually get them in the charity shops really easily!)

Quite simply they are summer holiday romance reading with a slightly different angle than the normal ones but i don't get the hype over them at all.

I think Emma Stone should play Ana she is the only young actress I can think of who is good enough to put some life into her!

And.........Mr Grey?? this guy Matt Bomer he is lush and how I imagined him to be.

That's my understanding too. I'm not reading it, nor shall I. Give me Lady Chatterley any day ;)
