Hi, I haven't got time to read though all the threads (7 month old needs feeding!) but has anyone tried the value nappies? I know they cant be brilliant and have only ever seen one person put them in their trolly. I just wondered because my daughter 'goes' after every meal and its a waste of a decent nappy if I have only just changed her (ie morning time before breakfast) Thanks in advance! I have found all the value cerals to be rubbish and a bit stale, I like tesco value fresh mince- but sainsburys is nasty! Also bacon is ok depending on what sort is put in the pack.0

Oh, also just read that some people rate the value stock cubes- this might sound stupid but what do you use them for? I got them instead of oxo and they didn't crumble, would you mix them with water first?0

haha, totally agree with the value rice crispies. I had a little bit of tesco own brand ones left, then a packet of the value ones. DS1 got the normal and DS2 got the value, they look nothing like eachother, value are shaped like bullets and are almost white, and the taste! bleugh!Penelope_Penguin wrote: »Hi B-S! Following recommendations from this site we discovered Tesco Value choc ice and jaffa cakes - which are great. I also use their value flour.
One to avoid - Tesco value *rice crispies*; even the hens wouldn't eat them.
Penny. x0 -
I used the nappies as emergency supplies when my DS was almost potty trained but had the occasional accident. They are OK, but I wouldn't trust them overnight or anythingloulou_uk26 wrote: »Hi, I haven't got time to read though all the threads (7 month old needs feeding!) but has anyone tried the value nappies?0

Yes! Tried the coloured/highlighter shampoo and conditioner that is packaged like Herbal Essences - yuk. Can definately feel the difference compared with HE. Sainsbury's left my hair coarse and not silky. Still have some and am alternating it with HE just to finish it (can't bring myself to throw it away).
Have to agree with your Sainsbury's list, in general, their own brand is pretty good.0 -
Sainsburys value hair conditioner is fantastic - its pink and in a squarish bottle. sorry haven't tried the tesco one!0

Sounds like a MSEer after my own heart. But, what I've started doing, rather than putting myself through the unpleasantness of using stuff I don't like, is using it to squirt into the loo brush holder... makes swishing around a bit easier and a touch more fragrant.↑ Things I wouldn't say to your face

I buy ASDA Smartprice pitta breads (small but nice!), sweet & sour sauce, baked beans, chopped tomatoes, and toilet rolls.
Morrisons Bettabuy chocolate is good, only about 30p for a 100g bar, the fruit & nut is best.0 -

Good idea - the brush will be stiff instead! :rotfl:0 -

We tried them once when desperate (we use supermarket own usually and are happy with them, so this was only one step down) and they didn't do our son's skin any favours at all.
But if you know you'll be changing it for a different one after an hour then I don't see why not...0
