When I worked at Morrisons a lot of the own label and budget label (farmers boy) stuff was the same, just under different packaging.
I will always try a supermarkets own brand of food as I think that if they are gonna put there name to it, is has to be of a reasonable quality. Budget stuff can be hit and miss but some things like tinned tomatoes, you can't really go wrong....0 -
Avoid the value bin liners at Tesco and Sainsburys - both are so poor that you need two to avoid your rubbish leaking out. :rolleyes:0

I've just bought a Tesco Value Keyboard (£4.47). It's not bad, though the space bar is very "clattery" as I type. I go through keyboards at an alarming rate (the ink usually wears off)!
My very first PC had keys that were "embossed" as well as with ink on the keys, and it lasted forever. If I could find another one of those I'd be a happy bunny0 -
both tesco and asda value conditioners are good - have a lovely smell.
tesco and asda value bread is great for toast.
son likes tesco value pasta sauce:love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
Was surprised by how nice this was, very impressed. Costs £1.98.
Also purchase the Value Digestives, Custard creams, Bourbon's, Tinned chopped toms (although they's just gone up over 25%!!), Tinned sweetcorn, Tinned Peaches, Bananas, Ketchup, Spaghetti, Instant noodles, Long grain rice, UHT Milk, (Orange, Apple & Blackcurrant) Cordials, Sliced white bread, Chocolate Mousse (V Good) and Spread. Same applies to ASDA with the addition of Smartprice Carrots, Pasta Twills, Fish Fingers, Oven chips, Lime cordial and yogurts.
Wasn't impressed with the value 'Weetabix' or value Cornflakes, tried once a few years back and thought they were both vile. Best sticking to standard Own Label IMO.0 -
