    Better than Heinz.
The sauce is really thick and tomatoey.

I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned, but i bought some tesco value mixed fruit jam for 29p and it was really tasty! The texture isn't the same as some of the more expensive ones and there are no seeds, but the taste is great and for £1.20 difference in price (at least) i'm sold!! :)

Tesco value pitta bread, 18p for 6 in a pack. I prefer wholemeal but the rest of my family prefer white. We've started having these for packed lunch as its cheaper and taste fine.

My daughter will only eat value tinned spaghetti. I bought Heinz once because it was on offer and she wouldn't eat it - too thick and glutenous.

I drink sainsburys basics tea which is very good (I'm a fussy tea drinker honest).

Morrisons value dried pasta perfectly ok
Morrisons value sultanas (as good as branded)
Morrisons value fromage frais are a hit with my family, OH likes value yoghurt but I don't
Morrisons value flour (I honestly can't tell the difference but I'm not a baking expert)
Morrisons value peas and sweetcorn are perfectly ok, however when I've bought branded I have noticed a difference.
    Morrisons value mayo is great!
Morrisons value custard creams very good.
Tesco value loo roll is OK
Tesco value DW tabs very good
Tesco value kitchen scales have been such a bargain as are their other kitchen bits and bobs.

As an experiment, I bought some Sainsbury's Basics teabags, 30p for 80, and do you know, they're not bad - and I'm fussy about my tea, I like it strong and usually buy Co-op's 99 tea. Had to brew a bit longer than usual but the flavour is rather good. And they're Fairtrade, too :)

I'll second that! I'm usually a Tetley only person but after seeing these being recommended on this site I gave it a bash. They make a nice strong cuppa and at 30p for 80, they are my new weapon of choice in the MSE tea making stakes :D

Mr Sains'z thingymajig sourced fish fingers. 60p per pack of 10 and I scoffed them all in one sitting.

It may behoove me to mention I don't really like fish, so they may be too bland for some tastes

    Hi

Went into Tesco, saw the basic vanilla slices. Got all excited then saw pork gelatine in the ingredients :eek: no go for a vegetarian. Suppose the cream must be a bit thin.

Bought some porridge instead to make some twinks.:)
