    I've been Money Tipped!
Biscuits generally are always worth trying in 'value' form. I've heard that the McVities factory makes loads of own-brand products for people, and they are mostly the same thing in a different pack!

My local pound shop sells packs of bacon for £1.00,these are full size packs of bacon,in fact they have about 12 rashers per pack, they're just the bits of the bacon that don't make the grade of the premium one.She usually has about 100 packs in her fridge & can sell out of the lot in a day! I usually buy 3 or 4 packs at a time as they keep for ages..

As an experiment, I bought some Sainsbury's Basics teabags, 30p for 80, and do you know, they're not bad - and I'm fussy about my tea, I like it strong and usually buy Co-op's 99 tea. Had to brew a bit longer than usual but the flavour is rather good. And they're Fairtrade, too :)

It's probably already been mentioned, but the Tesco Value Vanilla Slices (from the freezer section) are really nice - I wasn't expecting them to be that good, but I was very surprised! 6 in a box for £1

Most of the basic tea I've bought has been weak and grey but I'll give this one a go.

We use everything value that we possibly can!
its easier to say what we dont recommend.
    dont recommend:
    value loo roll
    value toothpaste
    value baked beans

now we still do use value loo rolls and baked beans as we have no other choice.

toothpaste we tried but we both had very stinky breath!! so i dont recommend that at all.

highly recommend value milk chocolate digestives mmmmm so much nicer than other brands, particularly morrisons.

value rice krispies are fine to make krispie cakes with and the best squash is asda smart price double concentrate i love the blackcurrant hubby prefers the orange.

having spent a fortune over the years on expensive air-freshener sprays for the loo/bathroom, I decided to try Tesco's own brand body spray, I bought 2, Lilac and Pink, they are only 46p and work so much better than the proper air-freshener sprays!

it only takes a few squirts and the lovely perfumed smell lasts a while and does the job, so from now on I will be buying these.

The value dishwasher tablets from Mr T's are good for 25p.
Just checked price of these on Mysupermarket and they come up as £1.67
Just chose that as an example... I do find the price of value stuff fluctuates amazingly. over a month I bought value baby wipes three times for 18p, 36p and 19p. Choc mousses over the last few months between 29p and 46p plus countless others. I find it hard to keep track!

The value choc mousses are yummy though! (Tesco ones, I wasn't keen on the Morrisons ones)

We have a smallish Sainsbury's coming soon near us so I'm looking forward to trying their basics stuff.

I have been very impressed with Sainsbury's basics stuff and the prices don't go up & down as much as Tesco! As you say hard to keep track.
Tesco Pasta - 18p, 9p (saw a woman buying a trolley full!) back to 18p then 32p. Who knows what price it will be next time I buy some :)
