I found Value wraps the other day - they were very nice, no difference to the branded ones we usually buy.
Also tried the value scones for 30p (i think) - v.nice0 -
Tesco value midget gems (39p) are gorgeous, unfortunately.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Hi
Tesco Value baby bath, 11p. I used it as a shower gel and it didn't dry my skin like some others I've bought. I'll probably buy it again in two years time when I've finished my other shower gels.:):DSealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
I use value carrots and onions all the time, once I was in the store and heard a couple talking about their shopping.
Him, "Why have you bought value carrots?"
Her, "It's alright darling, they are only for the horse"
I don't know about you but I think they are good for a lot more than horse food!"doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
I am a recent convert since having to drastically slash my food budget. I have tried and found no or very little difference in the output lasagne sheets, honey, yoghurts, fromage frais, garlic bread...there's more but this is off the top of my head.
EDIT: Remembered: DW tablets, kitchen roll, fruit juice! There's more yet!!
I have on order (delivery on Wed for £3 which is cheaper than if I had to go there myself!) plain flour plus the above. Hoping to not notice a difference here either.
I will have a nosey through this thread as there as some things I worry aren't healthy for you and may taste ok as they are full of god knows what to make them taste ok.
I generally cook from scratch where possible so ready meals etc don't come into the equation for us.Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683

As a regular Tesco shopper I buy Value cat litter, jaffa cakes, carrots, dish washing tablets, fruit and nut mix, tinned and chopped tomatoes, juice box pure orange juice, kitchen roll, pasta quills, tortilla chips, all types of flour, dried fruit, fizzy water, printer paper, bleach and tinfoil. The quality of all the above is almost indistingushable from the branded versions imho and once I took the often huge price difference into account I've never gone back to the branded goods, unless they were on an amazing special offer.
ETA>More things as I remember them! Value oven chips, frozen peas, yorkshire puddings.
I also buy the Tesco loo roll that has the flower on the pack...9 for £1.99 iirc. And Smartt food bags, which are big and sturdy and cost only 59p or so for a large roll.Val.0 -
Sainsbobs shampoo and conditioner I decant it into a couple of M&S bottles and no one is the wiser Its only shampoo for goodness sake its not on my hair long enough to worry about it .:):)0

the pan scourers (Tesco and Sainsbugs) are really good (and for 14p a go) Furniture Polish 30p, Bleach 25p, Toilet Cleaner 25p0

I like Tesco value hair spray at 37p (on offer at the moment 3 for 2).
I think it is much better than the expensive brands. Equally as good as the expensive brands.0 -
