i've used the sainburys baby bath (cause it's like 8p when they have 1/3 off so figured it was worth a punt) and had no problems i also use it in my hand soap pumpsDEC GC £463.67/£450

I had to laugh in my Tesco yesterday. they had their value butter selling for £1.10 and the label underneath said price in ALDI which was 98p. Good advert for ALDI or what? Are they supposed to advertise their competitors cheaper price?:rotfl:
I also got some curry sauce for 4 pence a tin which is a good price although I heard some stores sell it for 1p. It is not brilliant but you can improve it by adding some extra ingredients (peppers, mushrooms etc.)0 -
i have just tried the tesco value creme caramel, chilled choc mousse and enjoyed them both, i also like the value sponge cake and apple pies0

Telco value and Sainsbury's. Basics butter are both no different from any branded one. But, both went up from 98p to £1.10 this week.0

We have a W, Al and COOP without trogging miles.
Al "brands" are pretty good in my opinion as is the whole experience especially the newer ones. I know some people can't take to it though.
Cereals in particular are I am told made by Mornflake who also make a lot of the other own brands. The fruit and fibre seems pretty similar to the Tesco as does the "specialK" type but at 60p a pop less. I say pretty similar as I have only done Tesco on holiday o down to memory not direct dish to dish comparison.
Butter was 1.10 in Aldi last weekend up from 98p the week before:mad:
They have a habit of reducing size/weight on some products rather than increasing price which can be irritating when you find there isn't enough to go round this time...
They even have some value products too - carton orange juice I notice and diet lemonade. Their premium diet lemonade 29p is pretty good as is the standard stuff at 39p
All in One Dishwasher tabs and washing tabs have given no problems.
Some different things e.g. deli meats available but still good.
Soft white bread and soft wholemeal 69&79p respectively.
The staff in this one are very good too.
Oh yes Waitrose essentials pork sausages are not bad in relative terms for 99p and the AL up there to at 95p.
Sad I know, growing family for you, mind you the number of BMW,Mercedes and Jags in the car park may also mean something.:rotfl:"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Has anyone tried cheaper brands of tinned tuna? I normally buy Princes or John West when it's on offer (John West 3 pack is on offer in Morrisons at £2.50 at moment) I noticed that Aldi do one, I nearly bought some today, but thought I would ask on here to see if anyone had tried it.0

Al chunks seem to go down OK with my lot - don't like the stuff personally although I do have to do the sandwiches.... Appears pretty similar.
They do a cheaper style think it is flakes that isn't too good loads of bits. I know it gets mashed up the same but it just seems more watery."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
