Value porridge oats. I really can't understand why anyone would fork out for a premium brand - they're just oats, they're all the same!0

can I just second this. I also agree that Lidl value toilet roll is the best by a long way. Its loads thicker than the usual morrisons stuff I used to buy and not as much glue.
My Oh gets really mad about the amount of glue they put on thw roll. You have to rip half the roll to get it off. lolHappy days

Cheeselady wrote: »Have tried the Value Baked Beans from Tesco this week, without telling the family, and no-one complained, lol, they are slightly runnier than Heinz or the standard Tesco ones, but by the time you've warmed them up they are fine, and the extra runniness actually helps stop them sticking to the pan!
I add a little tom puree and praps a squeeze of brown sauce/worcester/paprika etc., whatever I've got knocking around, to give a bit more oomph.
I like basics loo rolls, toms, beans, spaghetti, curry sauce etc.
My fave though is basics cheddar, mozzarella, bacon type foods, really good value, really tasty.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
I've never really got on with the basic cleaning things.
Always go back to Flash/Aerial/Persil/Fairy etc. Fairy really does last alot longer than other brands.
OH dosn't think much to basic apples, he says they don't taste of much, I don't eat them so no idea.0 -
That cant be right. I reuse my teabags all the time and they still have the same flavour and almost the same strength. I dont think this works with tea- as I do not think the caffiene all goes???
It seems to have been found that this works to a certain extent with tea, although not as effectively as commercial decaffeination techniques, but it doesn't work that way for coffee. Also useful to note that decaffeinated tea and coffee does still contain a small amount of caffeine as it can't all be completely removed.
