We love the Tesco value chocolate chip cookies, they're nice and not too sweet and 40p

Forgot to add, Tesco value spaghetti, penne and cheapo tinned chopped tomatoes with herbs are very good too.
tortilla chips are a bit salty but ok with melted cheese and spicy mince.

Tesco value yorkshire pudding mix 8p each, makes 12 puddings.
I used to make my own but these are so cheap and easy am not bothering now.

Only have them once in a blue moon, I get some to take abroad for friends that are always desperate for UK flour to make them with and to bulk up my Tesco order for the points ..................

After reading the comments from others, I ventured to TV tea bags, that were 28p for 80 when I last got some  I don't mind them but the offspring are a tad more pickie but had to agree the usual ones can be just as different from box to box. Admittedly the first ones we had made the cuppa a curious grey/brown colour but the taste was acceptable.

I'm now using half branded to half TV [unless I'm alone at the time of making a pot :shhh:] & no-one is complaining, particularly when I pointed out it would help prevent their lodge increasing :p

We're all going through a process of spending less, and making do with value ranges while we secretly pine for their luxury equivalents...

But having bought Tesco value bacon recently, it's actually better than plenty of full priced bacon I've bought! It's thicker, doesn't fall apart, not too salty and I can trim off the fat to suit.

So it led me to thinking that loads of you must have "downgraded" and thought, wow - this is nicer!!

Anyone fancy sharing some great products?
    I love surprises!

What about the pig  It's probably paying the price in terms of animal welfare, which is why I'd never buy any "animal-derived" products from value ranges.

I'll add this to the exisitng thread on what to buy in value ranges later ;)

    Hi maggie,

There's an earlier thread with value products recommendations so I've added your post to it to keep the replies together.

I agree PP, only buy British pork after seeing that Jamie Oliver programme, no matter how cheap I see it in the supermarket.

I did try the 7p sainsburys curry sauce the other day which was actually very nice, bit like chip shop stuff.
