You said:My point was the community shouldn't have to provide unofficial ROMs so that people can get an upgrade, Google should do it for all phones.

It would be impossible for google to do this. It also shows your lack of knowledge on how android is developed and provided to manufacturers.
Someone needs to give them a kick up the !!!! then. Microsoft manage to get their phones updated, every Windows Phone from all manufacturers are on 7.5 including the original batch from 2010. The iPhone 3GS from 2009 is on the latest iOS 5 (although Apple have less phones to support so it's easier admittedly). Which non Nexus Android phone from 2010 is on ICS officially?
Again its not googles responsibility to upgrade every android phone in existence. Google don't own android, they develop it.
The number of WP8 specific apps will likely be quite small until WP8 overtakes WP7.8 in terms of sales/installed base.
Thats not an incentive to buy a win 7 phone now, its an incentive to wait. Hence the osbourne effect.
Not for you there isn't, not everyone has the same expectation as you though.
I never said they did. And as I've already stated you want it you're welcome to it. Just cos you're happy buying it doesn't make it any less obsolete.

    Enlighten me.

    Who owns it then?

Why not? App development for WP 7.8 isn't going to stop the minute WP8 is released is it?

What's given you the impression I'm going to buy a Windows Phone? They're no more obsolete than the majority of Android phones.

    Clearly never going to happen.

The same people who own linux.

Why not? I would like to know how Android is developed and distributed to manufacturers, it might help me to understand your point of view.

Don't Google own and control important parts (Play Store, location services etc) of Android though?

    You are wrong.
If this is the case why Google is able to run malware checker on Play?

Why all updates for Android are released by Google not the team as you call it Who Own Linux?

Why Google stock product always get the Android update first.

How is Google able to add satnav and Google maps as a default apps?

Why Google is able to remove and kill apps if it need to? I am sure only the people who own Linux should be able to do that not Google if you are right.

Why Google is able to add Siri like function?

You are mistaken for Android and iOS are based on Linux. Linux do not own Android and iOS. The Google is able to make changes to Android as it see fit.

    .

From reading your other posts it seem you will only do apps for Android even if no money to be made.

Because you are in LOVE with Android OS. This is normal with first Love.
Do remember one thing, it is one sided, for you it may be true love but for Android it is all about money, if you stop spending Android will find someone else who can.
So do look after your first love.

Would you do the apps for Windows phone 8, iPhone or Blackberry?
If your answer is NO then at least you are 100% faithful to your love, I hope Android will do the same.
