It said WED so that obviously means it would be delivered wednesday. But it wasn't! they just moved it to some othere place called W MIDDLETON and its been like that since! Today was the expected delivery date too! and the latest! and I found this on Littlewoods website when i checked the tracking:
"We are currently experiencing some delays with delivery of our larger items (items that it takes 2 men to carry). Some orders previously scheduled for this week are now due to be delivered to customers next week. Our team will contact affected customers by Wednesday 11th July to confirm the new delivery date. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience."
Okay, this is Yodel for you! BUT since when would it take 2 men to carry a tablet PC!! I assume I am one of the affected customers! Wish Yodel would just go out of business. My mother ordered a treadmill and the courier was yodel yet again. My house is hard to find, So they rang me when they was near my house, so i could go and meet them to show them where my house is (a good 60 metres from main road) and they refused to deliver it as it was too far away and the treadmill was 100kg! so they said they will get a smaller van next week and try again. guess what. yep, never happened! so we ordered from a different courier and company of course. courier was pink link I think, and they took it down no problem. and this was just one guy with the right equipment! Yodel had 2!!
I think you tablet is with my Disney Princess phone as that's gone astray too. Today is my last delivery date according to Littlewoods.
My tracking on Littlewoods comes up with:
02/07/2012 11:00 Order being processed at Shaw
03/07/2012 21:51 Parcel being packed Shaw
03/07/2012 22:19 Received at SHAW HUB
04/07/2012 01:53 Despatched from warehouse Shaw
04/07/2012 01:54 Received at W MIDDLETON
04/07/2012 08:02 Loaded onto van at EAST LANCS HOME DELIVERY (YODEL)
05/07/2012 07:30 Loaded onto van at EAST LANCS HOME DELIVERY (YODEL)
To make it worse W Middleton (West Middleton, Leeds) depot is about 15 miles away from me.
I use to get fantastic delivery from Littlewoods, quite often next day when it said two days so I don't know whats gone wrong now.£2021 in 2021 no.17 £1,093.20/£20210 -

I had the same text on monday for my delivery from Republic(next day delivery) it is thursday and still no sign of it!!
Yipee.....All the phone calls to republic worked in the end......
Just got back from collecting my daughter from dancing and there was a note on the doorstep. Typical I wait in four days solid and they come at 8.15 pm at the only time I am out!! My heart sank when I saw it.............. but......
they left them in a 'safe place' (at the garage door!!) and they brought both parcels!! Big note on the Republic one "Must deliver today".
So thank you Yodel delivery driver - eventually!!0 -
Yeh I used DHL once (not deliberately, it was the company I ordered from). I waited in all morning, in the room next to the front door, with the main door open.
A couple of hours later I spotted a failed delivery note on the doorstep. They'd delivered the note and made no attempt to deliver the parcel! Had to go to the depot and pick it up. And the box was damaged (but not the item). Unbelievable.0 -
I ordered some black school shoes for my son from very on Thursday for delivery yesterday. They didn't arrive. Tracking information says:
Latest tracking information
05/07/2012 15:31 Order being processed at Shaw
05/07/2012 18:58 Parcel being packed Shaw
05/07/2012 19:10 Despatched from warehouse Shaw
05/07/2012 19:11 Received at SHAW HUB
06/07/2012 01:52 Received at W MIDDLETON
Shaw is about 2 miles from me, and if the posts above are correct W Middleton is Leeds, which is about 40 miles away! Why would they have taken it further away??? It used to go to HDNL in Rochdale, I've no idea why it hasn't this timeI only bloody ordered from very because I couldn't find them in his size anywhere else
And now, very are experiencing 'system problems' so they can't give me any advice at all. Grrr.

I've had a couple of orders delivered via Yodel so far, which went okay - nothing large.
However, I'll relate an experience with DHL. I once used them to send a parcel from the UK to my Mrs in Russia, and this is how the tracking went (as far as places went):
Milton Keynes (where I worked at the time) to Birmingham
Birmingham to Brussels
Brussels to Moscow
Moscow to Samara
Samara to Moscow
Moscow to Orenburg
The thing is - Samara (apart from being one of the host cities for the 2018 World Cup) is about 8 hours by train from Orenburg.0 -
I'm joining you guys/girls in the Yodel complaints department
Ordered 3 items (cat toys) from amazon on 5 July
Dispatched last night, ETA wednesday 11 july (great, i'm off work wednesday)
Arrives home from work, approx 13:20 to find OH sat dazed in lounge asking if I'd knocked on door 5 mins earlier as he'd come down (as quick as a disabled person in bed could come down) to find no-one at door and no cars in the street, no calling card left either
Checked tracking on amazon order to find Yodel driver has signed for my items himself and marked parcel delivered at 12:08
I am not happy, not impressed and not amused.
Called yodel - they shut at 1pm
Used saynoto870 website to bring up all hdnl/yodel depot phone numbers - no answer
Tweeted Yodel and voiced my opinion
Email sent to amazon informing them that although the order is stating delivered, it is infact not delivered but has been signed for by the driver and that I do not know if re-delivery will happen, if amazon will get parcel back or if the driver intends to keep my item as they have signed for it using my name0 -
Viewed tracking last night saying @ Shaw Hub.(route letter/number comment noted)
Couldn't check tracking most of today as the retailers website / system was having maintenance done, so I had to assume it was coming. When I did check I couldn't be sure if it was accurate or not due to their systems.
Retailer now says they will chase up Yodel but with no idea of when it will come.
What a joke!!!!!0 -

They don't do deliveries from Hubs, even if they are closer to you then the depot. I am about 15 mins from the Hatfield hub but they always take it to the Borehamwood depot which is further.
You can tell when a company is in trouble when they have to resort to taking legal action against complaints made against them: http://wallblog.co.uk/2012/07/06/yodel-threatened-twitter-with-legal-action-to-silence-online-critics/0 -

How can they threaten legal action when people are only telling the truth.0 -

No idea, but it seems Twitter have caved in and removed some tweets.0
