Yodel - stayed in for a whole day & parcel not turned up

    Unless they are salaried staff then they don't get paid per drop. The Self employed ones yes they are paid per drop

    update: Zooplus have emailed saying that they've requested that Yodel re-deliver after 5PM today. Finger's crossed!

  • Yodel make money out of non delivery. They use premium rate numbers at 10p per minute and they hold you on line for at least ten minutes before answering to address your complaint/query which probably takes another five minutes.... good scam.... bad public relations! Now then... how to get your own back.... Phone the store that you ordered from, who use Yodel and tell them that you will not be using them and that they will lose sales whilst they continue to use Yodel as you are not alone!. Don't get angry with the poor little soul on the other end, as he or she is probably sick and tired of calls like yours. Just ask nicely that he or she pass on your comment to their supervisor. There now.... blood pressure coming down?

    Yodel's poor service isn't a deliberate design to get you to phone an 0871 number and some retailers are using cheap companies such as Yodel to maintain low pricing due to a general lack of brand loyality displayed on the net.

    You get what you pay for and Yodel doesn't charge much...

  • If you are lucky, your parcel will be with Yodel.
    If not it will be with Home delivery network who are now a part of yodel
    (yodel are a part of DHL)
    Home delivery network are useless.
    I had a parcel sitting in their wembly depot for 3 weeks.
    there was no attempt to contact me or to deliver the item.
    when I did manage to locate the item they claimed that there was an insufficient address.
    when I collected the parcel the address was correct & readable.
    With all of the mergers going on within the parcel delivery service I think we are going to see very mixed responses as reguards feedback.
    well worth checking if it is yodel (formerly DHL home) or yodel (HDNL) delivering.
    If it's the latter, do not hold your breath.

    *sigh* Zooplus specifically asked Yodel to deliver after 5PM today. Guess when Yodel decided to roll up to my front door? 12:30. Luckily, by sheer chance I was in as I'd come home to check on Maisie.

    So, finally got the parcel, but the box was falling apart & so I need to check tonight if everything has made it in one piece. From a quick look before I had to leave for work, they've not sent one of the right items anyway.

    Not impressed with Zooplus & Yodel generally. In the future, I'll be taking my custom elsewhere I think

    so, it gets better. The cat tree is missing one of its platforms so is completely unusable.

    Zooplus are open during standard office hours, so have emailed for now but will call them in the morning. I'm so annoyed - we placed this order on the 24th & it's been a farce ever since:

    1. Yodel failed to deliver on our mutually agreed date, resulting in me having to take a day off work for no reason
    2. Yodel failed to deliver at a time specified by Zooplus
    3. Yodel have mishandled the parcel to the extent that the cardboard box of the cat tree was ripped open
    4. Zooplus failed to package the cat tree sufficiently well to ensure safe delivery
    5. Zooplus has sent an incorrect item, requiring me to waste even more of my time returning it to them
    6. Zooplus/Yodel have delivered an incomplete, and unusable, cat tree to me

    Now, now, be fair Yodel did try and deliver before 1. How many times BTW?

    twice - tried the normal one time, I called Zooplus to ask them to re-deliver on the Monday. Yodel ignored this & tried to deliver on the Friday. I then logged on to their website on that Friday, requested a Monday re-delivery, they agreed. Didn't deliver on Monday

    I ordered an item on Saturday morning, paying for express delivery, it has still not arrived, I have emailed Yodel twice without response, I have tried contacting them by telephone but got fed up of listening to music at 10p per minute, when there is nothing to indicate when they are likely to answer. The company I purchased the item from say they will refund the express postage part of my payment. I have told them if it does not arrive today I will cancel the order and look for a supplier that doesn`t use Yodel.
