notakid, I LOVE you daughters dress and jewellery.

I thought the necklace was Butler and Wilson at first, which are very expensive.

She's going to look one of a kind! :)

What's wrong with celebrating your last day at school by getting all your mates to sign your school shirt and dumping all your books in the bin on the way home?

Golly, we knew how to live when I was young!

My son's room is still littered with them  He says he might need them. I said he should just keep the subjects he's doing for A level, but he seems strangely reluctant to let go of them ... I might suggest a BBQ :D

She kept her A-level subject books but took great delights in burning her copy of Wuthering Heights, words cannot describe how much she hated that book lol If I ever want to start winding her up I start singing the kate bush song at her lol

DS1 burnt his copy of "Of Mice and Men" earlier in the year in a ceremony involving one of those cake sparkler candles, some bricks, a flower pot full of soil and Ring of Fire playing in the background.

I have to say that there didn't appear to be any competitiveness at my daughters prom. Those that turned up in the family car had just a big a cheer and fuss made over as those that turned up in limos. Everyone was saying how lovely everyone looked and the whole year had a fantastic time.

After reading this thread, I dread my 8 week old daughter getting to that age...

However just wanted to thank whoever posted the newspaper link earlier... after following it, it lead me to this linked article.....
