Shirley - i love your kitchen, you have the floor and work surface that i would like!!!!

Just need to wipe down the kitchen now (just made a lovely cheats chicken tikka, the children said it was the best one they had ever had, so thats good!!!) and better pick the washing in, so i can remake the childrens beds so they an air before they go to bed.

:j today i have had no DN run and DH decided that he would give it a go driving to work himself so that left me free until 4.30pm ( as dd3 had after school club).
I had a oreoared and cooked tea - sheperds pie by 10am.
done my daily flying. and master bedroom all done by 12 noon so i took myself of for some retail therapy. Nothing excting just some house hold bits and a top up shopping. but omg after the last few weeks and all the running about i have had to do. Today was bliss.!
so i suppose one could say i have had a semi- day off today.
Also my Amazon silicon bakeware arrived this morning, so now i can make 2 loaves at a time.
;) have also packed up a box of things to send out to a friend ;)

Well tomorrow is D-day for DH we have to see the consultant at 10 am and then we will know if more surgery is going to be needed? fingers crossed it won't be.
Catch uou all later, when Thursdays list is posted

Just popped in to say 'Hi'.

Very busy week at course (and awful journey yesterday with a broken down lorry across all three lanes of the motorway) so it is minimal speedflying at the moment. I did a lightning whizz round the whole house on Monday, and will do a top up on Saturday morning. Keeping on top of the washing and drying is more difficult when I'm not in the house though.

Anyway, course finishes at the end of next week, then Easter holidays - hurrah! Just a two week placement to do and then off to scan the vacancies and see if I can persuade someone I am employable!!

Will catch up with you all when have more time.

  • Thankyou for all the lovely comments about the kitchen. When we saw this house the first thing I thought was the kitchen would be so much better if we knocked down the wall. The breakfast room was useless, the doors were on opposite corners so you really had 2 triangles with a walk way in between.

When we moved in the kitchen was still a building site, we had no fridge, no freezer, no cooker and no cupboards to put anything in. It was a very depressing few months. Once the builders left we then had to fit the kitchen which we did ourselves, which was a right pain because the walls are far from straight. I have to admit there are some indulgences in there, like the Smeg fridge freezer which I have wanted for years, but what we saved by fitting the kitchen ourselves etc probably more than made up the difference. Thankfully we had the money saved to do the work from when I sold my previous house.

    I'M FREEZING!!! :snow_laug

had a busy work day (9.5 hours on timesheet) and now snuggled up on sofa in pjs watching tv :) and knitting the occasional row

this week am not flying to my usual level, but am keeping on top of things which is the main thing. today i did:

hoovered bedroom, tidied stuff away, wiped surfaces & windowsill
    stripped bed and washed bedding
    hoovered whole flat
shopped for fruit & milk (got bargain, 2 boxes walkers 48 crisps 99p each!)
    emptied DW
    watered plants
    emptied car boot

    before bed need to:
    re-make bed
    mop kitchen floor

hmmm, looks better when i put it like that!

am tempted to start a jigsaw :)

    hugs to all.

it was bookers, so only any good if you have a card! they are walkers baked, which i love as they are healthy. they were in the reduced section. the date is up pretty soon but i'm not too fussy about that!!!
