Ladygrim - the alarm clock you need is a 2 and 4 year old (or any toddler/baby age for that matter). If you are interested I have 2 you can borrow for a week so you have a week of early starts and I will have a week of solid nights sleep followed by lie-ins until 7am:D
Honestly, I wont even charge you for the hire - so what do you think??
Thanks for the offer Shell2001, but I think I might pass on it. My flat isnt exactly child proof, and I dont know the first thing about changing nappies!!!

Plus my local bar does not allow anyone in who is under the age of 18 years old (BLISS:D )working hard at this thing called life0 -
Morning all
Still working to my own list but at least I'm doing something
Did DDs bed today because the weather is beautiful and it's supposed to rain tomorrow. So two loads on the line and drying well.
Swished and swiped the kitchen and bathroom. Dusted living room. Vacuumed right through downstairs and up the stairs.
Cleaned computer keyboard. That was.......interesting.....
Prepared veggies for lunch.
I want to go through a box of freebie CDs and DVDs later to check what I think we actually might use. Have to do it when DH isn't here because he wants to keep everything in the world.0 -
I keep getting posts disappearing too - but I thought it was either me or this computer.
Thanks to everyone for forgiveness - I LOVE this site - my husband loves it and my boys are just oblivious to everything except salami, olives and chocolate (but at least I can find them now!!). Can't wait for next week when I'll be working to the list on an almost-organised house!!
My back is still killing me though after the kitchen marathon...Is it home time yet?0 -
Shirley-I want your kitchen, that is fab, what a way it's come since the dolphins!! As for bedroom, intentional, switching days so kids rooms/spare rooms will be Fridays from this so those without either will get long weekend off. (Bathroom/Study tomorrow)
Michelle - I am usually busy Wednesdays too, I tend to strip the bed as soon as I get up and throw in wash, dust & vacuum then if I can after clearing things away, put bed sheets on just before bed. You could however just add Wednesday lists to Fridays as I know with only having a diddy one (no big kids=lots of mess) might be easier for you to do it then. Just suggestions of course to try to make it easier for you.
Those with poorly little ones or who are poorly, or newbies, don't need to play catch up, it'll all come back round next week. Like the other ladies have said it does get easier.
Well my cloth wash (hot wash to clean washer pipes also) is in now, have gone through a lot since weekend with extra cleaning etc and have had them soaking. Bed linen needs washing, didn't have time to strip this morning as a bad morning with DS1. I've just finished my TMAso having to travel 20 miles tonight to hand it in as it's due today
Time to get a wriggle on with the rest of the housework now! Out from 12.20pm until about 9pm today!
One day I might be more organised...........

Ah g'wan! Y' know you want to!

YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIVING IN 2007 when…..
1. You accidentally enter your PIN number into the microwave.
2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.
3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.
4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.
5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.
6. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home to help you carry in the groceries.
7. Every commercial on television has a web site at the bottom of the screen.
8. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60 or??) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.
10. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.
11. You start tilting your head sideways to smile.
12. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.
13. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to give this list to.
14. You are too busy to notice there was no number 9 on this list.
15. You actually went back to check that there wasn't a number 9 on this list.
16. AND NOW YOU’RE LAUGHING at yourself. Go on, pass this on. You know you want to!working hard at this thing called life0 -
