Welcome and good luck Kit. THis site really helps you keep on top of things. Only been on a month or so and it has completely transformed me and my home. I'm not perfect by any means but it means that things get done regularly and if I don't do something one day it's not the end of the world as it won't be long before it comes around again. And half an hour or so a day is much better than spending all the weekend doing it!

Don't try and do too much at first - baby steps and all that - but I find that if I read the posts (and post myself) it keeps me on track, and I don't beat myself up if I miss something off the list (and sometimes I go mad and do things not on the list!!!)

Extra for Tuesday, 27 fling boogie and paperwork sort, give that pile of paperwork that's been ignored 15 minutes of your time.

No ironing - day will be packed enough and OH is out working until late late

Wednesday
Master bedroom, stairs and landing

1.[STRIKE] Check for cobwebs and dust all furniture[/STRIKE]
2. [STRIKE]Remove bed linen and wash[/STRIKE]
3. [STRIKE]Vacuum bedroom floor, stairs, landing and bed[/STRIKE]
4. [STRIKE]Turn mattress before replacing linen if required [/STRIKE] with two children playing bouncing/ploughing fields/rolling/two little monkeys....
5. Clean landing and bedroom window
6. [STRIKE]Check if any curtains/nets/blinds need cleaning[/STRIKE]
7. [STRIKE]Make sure everything is in the right place and you can close wardrobes/drawers[/STRIKE]
8. mop stairs

[STRIKE]Extra if needed, one hotspot, anywhere on the house, make sure it's dampened down before it catches fire![/STRIKE] Did what was the dining room table and is now sitting room/play table/dining table/general dumping ground - needed to clear it anyway for tonight, so not sure if it counts.

I just go to bed half an hour earlier and so only lose half an hours sleep.. or I go to bed 2 hours earlier and have my lie in the night before!!

I thought I'd done really well and done everything on the list for today, except I missed one thing, didn't do the outside of the front door !!! Oh well, I'll add that to the list for the weekend when I WILL get out and clean the windows outside.

Thank you lil_me for moving the bedroom to tomorrow rather than the usual friday, that will just leave me my study and bathroom to do which I can do thursday ready to have friday off

Well, my kitchen is still spiffy clean from Monday, so I'm pleased about that. The master bedroom was cleaned into oblivion over the weekend and I've kept on top of it, so not much to do tomorrow. I'm now off to the lounge to conceal as many of the kids toys as possible before the estate agent comes tomorrow to do a valuation.

I still need to finish my Tesco order for delivery in the morning (I always place an order with a couple of items the week before to get the delivery slot I need and then top it up through the week). I also need to start my new breadmaker off (the old one caught fire a few weeks ago and I've only just got round to returning it).

I don't seem to be managing to keep in step with the days here, but what the heck!

Ok - here's where i am at for tomorrow. Wednesday is where it always goes wrong as i always spend it with my family. I never get back before 6 or 7, so i will see what gets done, although to be honest, the bedroom will be done on Sat morning before the in-laws arrive as we always give up our bed as the spare one isn't that comfy.

Advantage of the clock changing is one less hour of house guests.

Wednesday 21/3:
Kitchen
1. Clean microwave.
2. Clean sink, draining board and wash any plastic drainers/cutlery holders.
3. Clean floor
Tuesday - Living areas & Hall/Porches/Entrance
4. Dust throughout living area and hall/s inc tops of door frames and doors
5. Wipe down skirting
6. Vacuum throughout halls
7. Tidy away anything that shouldn't be where it is now!
8. Make sure all coats are away tidy & entrances aren't blocked
9. Clean clocks and screens.
10. Make sure the front door is clean, inside and out
Wednesday - Master bedroom, stairs and landing

12. Remove bed linen and wash

:mad: Ours went BACK last weekend! Mornings are lovely, but the nights are dark by 7pm! Hate it!

Monday saw the kitchen swished, work, groceries got and not alot else.
Tuesday saw . . . work, sorted some school stuff, walked puppy, not alot else.

Today . . .
Laundry x 1 load on clothesline;
Watched NZ play cricket in world cup (OH got up at 1am to watch, I waited till 6.30am LOL);
Now I'm going to spend the rest of the morning doing business paperwork. I WILL NOT check in here every five minutes, oh no I won't! And if anyone sees me . . . kick me off! :rolleyes:

Will hopefully check back later and do some of todays Flylady chores, too.

Not a great day for posting today but I did manage most of lil-me's list just need to carry forward cleaning the windows until tomorrow.

So far so good, I have also done another load in the WM and an hour in the garden, off to post office now and will then collect DD2 from nursery, I need milk and bread so will pop to asda's on the way home, lunch and then hopefully tackle the beddroom before we leave for swimming.
