Well the 15 minutes galvanised me into action. Swept and washed the living room floor and sorted the bits lying around. Didn't do the dusting but you can't notice that cos it's all tidy and the floor is gleaming!

Someone at work wanted to see pictures of the work that we've been doing on our house, so I took ones of the kitchen and lounge as I did them this week, will do the rest of the rooms as I go along. Finally the house is clean and tidy enough to take pictures of.
Looking back at the pictures of what it was like when we moved in, the difference in the rooms we've done is amazing.
Kitchen when we moved in was like this
And it's now like this after we had the wall between the kitchen and the breakfast room knocked down.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -

Hi all,
Another newbie here. Hope it's ok to join in with u all. I've been flying for a while now, but have been falling of the bandwagon recently. I've been loving MSE, and am hoping joining this thread might just give me the kick I need to get flying again;
Anyway to do's for tomorrow;
1. Check for cobwebs and dust all furniture
2. Remove bed linen and wash
3. Vacuum bedroom floor, [STRIKE]stairs, landing[/STRIKE] and under bed
4. Turn mattress before replacing linen if required
5. Clean [STRIKE]landing and [/STRIKE]bedroom window
6. Check if any [STRIKE]curtains/nets/[/STRIKE]blinds need cleaning
7. Make sure everything is in the right place and you can close wardrobes/drawers
Extras jobs for tomorrow;
- Case up income tax rebate
- Post birthday card to my aunt
- Pack suitcase ready for flight to London on Thursday
- Cancel direct debit for the gym
- Tackle the huge hotspot that has appeared on the dining room table
- Finish ironing so I can pack
- Spend at least 15 minutes tackling my paper clutter
Hopefully this will all go to plan. It's the ironing I'm looking forward to least
At least I have a party :beer: to look for to on Thursday evening."Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow."0 -
Tomorow is pefect timing for me as I should be getting my Landing back after it was buried under the Bathroom redecortaing stuff. Most of it should be gone tomorrow :j
Today didn't go quite according to plan as we popped down to Wicks for some bits for the bathroom and that took a chunk of time
Wednesday
Master bedroom, stairs and landing
1. [STRIKE]Remove bed linen in my room and DS1[/STRIKE]
2. Vacuum spare room and landing. Start to scrub floors to remove slodges of plaster - to do v.soon but not the hoovering, just sweeping. Too late to be making that kind of noise!
3.[STRIKE] Turn mattress before replacing linen if required -[/STRIKE] new bedding down but matresses not turned or hoovered
4. Clean landing and bedroom window
5. [STRIKE]Wash bedding[/STRIKE]
Extras: Yesterday's left overs of vacuum downstairs and [STRIKE]pair socks[/STRIKE]
I'm not doing much else to the master bedroom as I did lots over the weekend, and I need to concentrate on areas where it can't be hidden behind a door! :rotfl:
Woohoo! I got 15 mins in this morning to sort out the bedding etc. Very chuffedApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

I'm a bad bad woman and a fibber - I crossed off the front door yeaterday - and I hadn't even touched it. Got a huge pang of guilt this morning as I walked past to go back upstairs to turf dog and cat from out of bed so I can strip it (the dog doesn't sleep there in the night - it is her morning treat to snuggle up with the cat). Actually - that doesn't sound any better at all. Still, they've both been flea'd recently!
Sorry sorry sorry.Is it home time yet?0
