Would You Go On the Jeremy Kyle Show?

I've never watched that show and don't think I ever want to. It sounds like the people who take part have a complete deficit of self-respect and I suspect the people who watch it don't have that much either.0

Would i go on the JK show..? dream on.
On my odd day off its my morning entertainment. The modern version of the old Asylums.
It makes me feel fortunate that i am articulate, intelligent, handsome and a whole other host of virtues which perhaps i have taken for granted.
The only thing that saddens me is the occasional really nice lady who has got stuck on an out and out loser/to$$er.. but then love is blind..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
What I really dislike is the way he has a go at someone until they're really upset, then switches to Mr Nice by saying 'Hey, Sweetie, you really need some help, that's what we're here for'.
I find him equally (if not more) loathsome when he's trying to sound nice.
Can't say I've watched it regularly, but caught a bit of it the other day when an old lady (80-something) was complaining about her chav-scum daughter and he was "comforting" the old girl whilst she was crying. The whole thing was extremely gut-churning and also depressing.
Everything that's bad in this country is contained in that programme. The presenter is hateful, the guests are thick and the audience are insensitive dullards, IMO. It's not my idea of entertainment.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -

Where to start? I've watched it a few times in sheer horror as I didn't think people like those on the show actually existed. I thought the term 'underclass' was just a sociological concept but no...the people on that show appear to be a separate species of ill-educated, uncouth peasants without any real purpose or use to society.
As part of the 'underclass' (we're poor and live on a council estate) I would like to point out that the guests on Jezza are not representative of poor/working class folk. Most of us care for our children properly, work, encourage our children in school, use contraception, etc.
Most of his guests seem to have problems with mental health, learning difficulties or drugs or alcohol in addition to being poorly educated/of low IQ. They are the exception rather than the norm.52% tight0 -
#75 Id be interested to hear where you live..? JKs guests are mirrored on the streets of inner city Madchester and many of its estates.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Well you're not this particular underclass then, so don't worry. As part of the 'underclass' (we're poor and live on a council estate) I would like to point out that the guests on Jezza are not representative of poor/working class folk. A small council estate in a Midlands town.
My son has just finished school, along with 3 other kids from our street. Every one of them is going to 6th form or college - they won't be NEETs. There hasn't been a teenage pregnancy in my street (of roughly 120 houses) in the 15 years I've lived here.
There are a couple of NEETs in the next street and 1 is an alcoholic, one is a junkie. But it's not the norm, as I said.52% tight0 -
Would I go on the show? No way, for a start I would have to visit a tooth fairy and have several teeth removed and have the rest blackened
I have seen it a few times and to be honest it makes me angry :mad:The best thing you can spend on a child, is time.0 -

It's a long time since I took sociology so I'm not sure how an underclass would be defined - if I live next door to a member, have a similar income after the mortgage is paid, send my children to the same school, etc. doesn't that make me part of it?52% tight0 -
If you wanted to be on JK, either you are part of the UC which is being talked about, or you're pretty thick. It's a long time since I took sociology so I'm not sure how an underclass would be defined - if I live next door to a member, have a similar income after the mortgage is paid, send my children to the same school, etc. doesn't that make me part of it?
How's that for a definition?Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
