Would You Go On the Jeremy Kyle Show?

That's the person who should be laughed at.It's Kyle himself they are laughing at, not the guests.
The poor people on it as guests, on the whole aren't savvy enough to realise how stupid they look.
JK is clever enough to know exactly what he is doing to these vulnerable people.
One of the few people I would have no problem with him being knocked off by someone.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I've never seen a thread on here where a woman claims not to know who the father of her baby is? That's all l ever seem to have seen on there!
You obviously don't watch it very much.
There's the 'Who stole my money/jewellery' ones - always followed by lie detector results.
There the 'a dozen people have told me my girlfriend/boyfriend is cheating on me' - always followed by lie detector results.
I could go on - but I won't.

Go on Jeremy Kyle? Good god no!
Where to start? I've watched it a few times in sheer horror as I didn't think people like those on the show actually existed. I thought the term 'underclass' was just a sociological concept but no...the people on that show appear to be a separate species of ill-educated, uncouth peasants without any real purpose or use to society.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

No I wouldn't and I don't know any one that has.
The only time I watch it is when I'm doing my ironing!0 -

Mindless "entertainment" for a boring job.

Look on it as a chance to count yourself lucky for the opportunities and good fortune you've had in life.0 -
Haven't read the whole thread, but didn't feel I needed to on this occasion. Jeremy Kyle show is for brainless, dysfunctional, mindless idiots, who just want their 5 minutes of fame.
It's dumbed down TV, which is cheap to make.0 -
not in a million years, nor for all the tea in china cannot see why folk feel ok doing suchI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

I don't know why everyone's having a dig at Jezza, he's doing his job of supplying entertainment, that's what he gets paid for.
As for the idea that if he really wanted to help, he'd do so without humiliating folk on TV, but the reason there's funding for help, is via the ritual humiliation.
Anyhoo,I wouldn't partake on the show, nor do I know anyone who has. I do watch bits of it, as the teens think it's a hoot, and will put it on on the repeat channels in the afternoon.
I laugh too, then I realise it's not funny, but desperately sad to see so many folk so short of morality, guidance and support in their lives. I then look at my family and friends and realise that the show is not representative of the majority of the country.
However, aside from DNA tests etc. those with addiction problems who actually do get rehab paid for them, hurrah. Tis a pity shows such as this need to exist for some to access the very expensive help they need.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
To destroy, humiliate, ruin, people and relationships on live TV?gravitytolls wrote: »I don't know why everyone's having a dig at Jezza, he's doing his job of supplying entertainment, that's what he gets paid for.
He is a particularly nasty parasite that needs squashing.
I'm not really one for saying society is going to the dogs etc. But really, to belong to a society that allows, wants and encourages this kind of thing is kind of embarrassing.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
