Who's reading Fifty Shades of Grey?

I read all three last week, they are never going to win any literary awards, and I did get fed up of the repetition (how many times can she bite her lip, roll her eyes, and mention her inner goddess) but they do seem to have that "can't put them down" element.

I'm reading it, or trying to. I just can't seem to get into it, and it's not because I'm a prude or anything, I just can't seem to connect with the characters, they seem a bit "hollow" to me.

By the way if you want really well written down and dirty smut, read a Black Lace publication. They definately manage to hit the spot. I've several in my collection. Hubby doesn't know though! )

I'm half way through book 3 now and I can't make my mind up. I like the story but it's very badly written and the sex scenes are awful, very repetitive. "You're mine" "Yours" "Mine" "Yours".... SHUT UP!! "Eat." "Come." "Sit."

So yes, terribly written but I want to find out what happens so I'm going to read until the end.

'Carrie's Story' and 'Safe Word' by Molly Weatherfield. Extremely well written, intelligent characters, kinky sex scenes, none of the angst !!!!!! of 50SoG.

But the end of book 3 really spoilt it for me which is after the book had finished but explains his thought process when he met her. I ended up thinking what a kn*b !!

Up till then loved the love story, but the s*x was very repetitive " your so ready for me Ana " being one of the most annoying :rotfl:
