Raven and Tropez, sounds like you were having fun last night! Is this a private party or can anyone join?! :rotfl:

    The more the merrier! :D

Well, exactly. Hence why I said it is dark and hardcore.

I also found the writing style in English pretty jarring. Tried the original but found it too difficult...I guess my A Level French did not have a unit on 'hardcore sex vocabulary' :rotfl:

Well that's a pretty big omission, yet I bet they taught you 200 ways to order a white coffee? That would be typical.

It's been a while since I read Story of O now but I think you're right about the translation from French to English being somewhat jarring. I think most of the Marquis de Sade's works suffer the same problem.

At least there's always the film! :D

BUT....not to burst your bubble I think Sebastian Faulkes "won" an award for the worst written sex scenes in that book?

haha You haven't burst my bubble because I don't agree :) I thought they were really well written.

Anyway it's only like 50 Shades, very subjective. http://nehwnews.wordpress.com/tag/sebastian-faulks/ This guy agrees with me.

Oh and i'm not a prude... i'd love to share how i reached my very first orgasm ;) but i think some things are better unsaid.:o
