Had to come back and say that by the end of book 3 (I read the first one and took two months break before reading the others back to back) that the story in the end was reasonable but could have been great if fitted into one novel.

The next thing is that I really farking hate Christian, what a total k nob. Far too controlling and unnaturally interested in Ana who is a prat as well. If she had tried going with someone else, she would have realised that he was a total weird freak and probably fell in love with Mike who was a regular guy, a fireman with a fit body and they would have well adjusted kids whilst she retrained after having their kids as a teaching assistant in Kent.

I know boring, but that Christian, I wanted to really knock him out in the end and not in a sexual way.

There's a local lad who has written a spoof version of it and it's hilarious. Might not be to anyone who isn't local, but he's getting stopped in the street by old ladies who want him to sign their printed copies. :rotfl:

Ive got to chapter 20 of the first book. Dont think i'll be reading books 2 and 3.

My idea of a sexual turn on isnt such things as @nal f!sting and torture (with or without a secret password).

Oh and i'm not a prude... i'd love to share how i reached my very first orgasm ;) but i think some things are better unsaid.:o

Oh and the lip biting drives me nuts.

    SPOILER ALERT

There is no fisting, anal or otherwise, in any of the books so you can read on.

I've downloaded the Story of O but I just can't get on with it - it's not a story that grabs my attention or has me eager to read some more.

I've got a few books in my wishlist which I'll download nearer to my holiday on Friday - if I get them now, I'll only finish them before I go!

My local WH Smith has a big poster in the window advertising a paperback called Bared For You with the words 'if you've read Fifty Shades of Grey'... every time I've been there I haven't been able to find it.

Getting my first Ocado delivery tonight and hopefully Bared For You £3 off :)
  • I've read them all, couldn't put them down! :smileyhea Did anyone feel that the 2nd book was a bit below par compared to the other two though? It seemed very repetitive in places.

What I did enjoy about this trilogy though was the music throughout! It was very eclectic and has opened my eyes and ears to some classical music I would never have listened to before. I found a great website... it's called fiftyshadesmusic dot com

You can download the full playlists from the books on iTunes, or each song separately if you don't like some of them and you can even listen to it before! I really like that they give you the page numbers and set the scene, so you can go back and re-read the pages with the music.

    Definitely worth a look! :T
