I received mine last Thursday (very quick on the 50p extra using parcel force i think?)

Not sure? When did you order it? I ordered mine on Friday 22nd June and received it on Tuesday 26th, pretty quick delivery considering there was a weekend in between - I didn't spend the extra 50p for PF ;)

I conducted my own scientific experiment with regards delivery and placed two orders within minutes of each other, one with Yodel as the courier and the other paying the extra 50p for Parcelforce (although oddly even though it said it was 50p it didn't add this to the total so it was free!). Both orders were for around 20kg of cat food so identical sized boxes and weights.

Sat 23rd June late evening, both orders placed.
Mon 25th June 05:00 - Yodel despatch email
Mon 25th June 15:00 - Parcelforce despatch email
Weds 27th June - Yodel arrived PM (not sure what time as was taken in by neighbour)
    Thurs 28th June - Parcelforce arrived 8am

They actually took virtually the same amount of time to work through the courier system as Parcelforce was despatched 10 hours later than Yodel and arrived at the crack of dawn the day after Yodel.

LOL re all the analysis going on here.....

Just checked my trays, they can stay for another 1-2 days but then again.. perhaps I should change them to Tigerino now? Hmmmmm

Nah, will swap Tuesday after work as leaving home tomorrow morning for work and oming back Tuesday morning after work.

Nope, not an exciting date, overnight hospital appointment buuuuuuu

So would not be here to ewatch the Tigerino usage as FC was LOL Better wait till Tuesday evening then :)

The Tigerino was used more than the OKO - had 3 or 4 wees, compared to 2 wees in the downstairs OKO. But the OKO took 2 scoops to get the 2 wees out, the Tigerino around 5 - 6 to get 3 - 4 wees. I'm not being precise as it is difficult to count the wees when they break up.

TBH after using wood for so long (which goes to sawdust for those who haven't used it!) - it takes several scoops to get liquids out with that - so actually thinking the Tigerino may be better than that anyway!

Overall, it isn't an awful product and I'm not regretting buying it, but I definitely prefer the OKO. On the other hand, the Tigerino is quite a bit cheaper even at non-offer price, so is it worth paying more for slightly more convenience? Mmmm... I'm not sure, so I'll see how I get on over the next few weeks....

mmmmmmm I guess how much more expensive could be the key .... if it's making huge savings (which with a hoard of cats it might!), then .......

    Hope everything goes OK GR

ooooh! I liked my PF man - he always turned up at about 8am too! I might go back to them then if you don't actually get charged the 50p! Though I can't imagine why I was so bothered about 50p in the first place when I spend so much on my cats!! Here is what I bought for them at the cat show today, for example:

The Yeoww catnip toys have to be about the best ones going...expect lots of slobbering and antics!
Love the pet cushion, used to be a member on PF who made ones like that, wonder if it is the same woman?

Re Zooplus...I have nothing but praise for my local Yodel delivery team after years of complaints about the state of my parcels via parcelforce.

Yeah, we've already got some Yeoww toys, paddypaws, and they are very much in favour by our lot! They are great value at cat shows - £2.50 for the stinky sardine as compared to £10.79 for 3 on Amazon. The cigar is £6.29 on Amazon, I paid £4.00 for it at the show ;)

The cushion is really soft and squiggly - I'm sure it will get many hours of snoozes on it!
  • Well ..... I've got it:D

Box was apparently totally trashed & held together with packaging tape - but luckily the bags inside were OK.

One tray has been cleaned & sterilised & new litter in (no use as yet:rotfl:).

Must admit I'm pretty impressed so far:
    • Bag handles didn't break!:T
    • It wasn't dusty at all which was one of my big concerns as I sneeze with really dusty stuff. I do fill the trays with a big scoop rather than pouring from the bag so not sure if this made a difference.
    • Nice texture - been using wood pellets for years now (big cat is 6 1/2 & he's only ever had this so a looooonnnng time!) so very different
    • However I did need a substantial amount to fill the ginormous tray so hopefully it will still work out economical

Anyway ..... will report back when something happens!

  • Well - hope not TMI for anyone but we are talking toilet habits here!;)

    A No 1 and No 2 ;)

No 1 - 2 scoops to get out completely but that's certainly an improvement on the several that it takes to get all the sawdust with the wood pellets - all the excess / dry flakes (what do you call the lumps? novice clumper here!:o) fell off nicely.

No 2 - again a lot less wastage than with the wood pellets as the flakes fell through the holes in the litter scoop (which doesn't happen with the pellets).

No dust at all when cleaning out ...... so far .... so good :)
