Oh dear I feel so left out with both FridayCat and Paddypaws staring on tigerino....

Looked at my trays and still a lot of Oko in them, possibly another week wait.....

    How sad is THAT?

    LOL

    VERY sad :rotfl:

We have had our first trip to the litter tray since the change! It was Lula and she used the Tigerino!!

But... I know it's early days and I'm not going to make a judgement on one little wee-wee, but I wasn't impressed! It didn't clump as well as OKO at all! Whereas, with OKO one scoop and a shake and the wee would be in the nappy sack... with this, it all broke up and it took 3 - 4 scoops and faffing about to get it all in the bag (it was only a little wee). I had deliberately left it a few minutes before scooping as well to enable it to solidify a little.

So....time will tell, but atm I'm glad I only got 40L....

That is very different to what Paddypaws said..hmmmmm

Personally I do not like the way Oko "clumps" at all, all jelly like yukkkkk

Really can not wait to open a bag and get my own cats to test..hmmmm

Please can you lot hurry up with your comparison studies (maybe feed extra meals and cat milk to encourage usage?) as I'm interested in switching to this :D

I know it's early days yet for all of you who are taking part in the scientific study but I am particularly interested in the tracking results please.

Fridaycat - how quickly do you usually scoop with Oko? I find that if the deposit is very recent then it takes a while to set with Oko too. If I was to scoop after just a few mins with Oko, as you have with the Tigerino, then it would still be jelly like and break into lumps as I scooped.

Well, like I said, it was only one wee and I'm not going to make my mind up on just that. But I like the OKO clumps - one scoop and they're in the bag! I don't tend to analyse their constitution :rotfl:

I agree with you - I have found the same on occasion with OKO too, which is why I left it for a while and deliberately didn't do it straight away! But I left it for roughly the same amount of time as I would if it had been OKO and those were the results!

I am out all day tomorrow as I'm going to a cat show (not with my cats, it's a Maine Coon show so I can't show Bengals there :rotfl:) - so there should be lots to report back on in 24 hours or so as all 5 will be kept in when I'm out. ;)

the best ones as far as clumping is concerned ar Biocat and Golden Grey - sand like consistence, smells lovely and clumps completely solid.. can not afford those any more though.. sighhhh

***BREAKING NEWS**** THERE HAS BEEN ANOTHER WEE IN THE TIGERINO IN THE FRIDAYCAT HOUSEHOLD :rotfl:

Still not impressed though.... this time I left it much much longer than the previous one... There was one biggish clump, but I still had to faff about with 3 or 4 more scoops before getting it all.

Whilst doing this, I noticed a LOT of dust. I know OKO can get dusty but it's normally when it's been down a few days, not when it's been down only a few hours.

Plus points - no horrible odours and not a lot of tracking at the moment, though there's only been two wees.

Based on the two results so far? I'll be buying OKO when it's time to stock up. But, I'll continue to keep an open mind on the Tigerino for a while longer yet....
