    Well done WW :T

Do you have a parkrun near you? (http://www.parkrun.org.uk/) It's a 5k every Saturday morning, free but timed and very sociable.

Thanks Heebie - just looked and there are two very close to me.
Will be brave and do one soon.
    Do you do them?
    Thanks again!

Well done WW. When I started running 2yrs ago using C25K I felt just the same. That prog is ace and it kickstarted all my activity and increase in self esteem once again.

As for me plenty of walking today and Rin30 day 2 today. Felt a little run down and tgen felt better after a long dog walk so did it and might have tomorrow off instead. Will see how I feel.

All ready to go for work tomorrow - all food and snacks prepped and just sorting washing out to hang out in the morning on a much welcome dry day at last!

No I haven't but only because I live abroad. I was reading about it recently and hope to take part when I move back to England but when I found it, I thought of you!

hello please may I join for these last few months of the year? ...I did join earlier in the year, but it's been a bit of a hectic year with things getting in the way!

So I hope you don't mind me joining in again :) I'm about to pop into the bath, give myself a good body scrub, then I may just cut my nails and paint them..

Been using moisturiser today as well, which I often don't do!!

    Morning fabbers!
Hope those going back to work today don't find it too bad - only a 4 day week. My brain seems to have switched back into work mode even though I'm not back until Monday, I'm waking up at 6am and am wide awake - quite annoying!

Today is "fab up the dog" day - he's having his makeover at 10am. He always looks very cute when he's done but it lasts about an afternoon usually - cue rolling in the garden and getting dinner in his ears:rotfl:
When I drop him off I'll pop into school and pick up a few things up and then go swimming if I'm not too stiff.
The rest of the day will be taken up with schoolwork and dog walking (hopefully it won't be like a monsoon again today) and I'll probably nip to the shops for a few bits for the family visit on Thursday.

Fab wise - my toenails need doing and I may do a facemask. On the subject of faces, I've noticed my skin is much better recently, not as dry and the fine lines seem reduced. I've been using the Aldi serum and night cream for about 6 weeks now and I think they've made a big difference, worth a try at the price if anyone is interested. I use the Garnier Ultralift daycream (but have done for about a year). Maybe losing a bit of weight and taking more exercise has helped too but I think the Aldi creams have a lot to do with the improvement.

    Right, I'm off wooferwalking.......

    Good Morning Everyone

Hi Alja - good to have you back.

Busy day planned today here at Fab Towers.

I must get on with some painting this morning, the weather looks fine and bright so hopefully get some primer/undercoat on that front door. Also some work on the kitchen chairs.

This afternoon I have to pick up my 13 year old niece from her horse-riding because sis at work and there are no suitable buses for said niece......so I thought I would treat said niece and I to a nice afternoon tea - assuming of course that she doesn't smell too horsey.:rotfl:

After that will pop in and see mum & dad.

I too need to do some extra fabbing.

My skin is looking a bit tired - it could do with pepping up - come to think of it I could do with "pepping up" too for that matter.

I've lost my mojo a bit recently. Please kick me up the derriere and help me find it.........:rotfl:
  • Morning All,

I'm back in work really should get up when first alarm goes off and not go back to sleep!

WW I agree with you on Aldi serum, I ran out of the serum a week or so ago and already have noticed a difference in my skin, so I will restock asap!

LL hope you find your mojo :)

Right back to the day job. EH xx

    Morning all,

Alja - welcome back! sounds like you're back on track already :)

WW - hope doggie enjoys his pampering :rotfl:I do keep meaning to take a trip out to Aldi to try their skincare range, though I'm currently using the Superdrug Vitamin E moisturiser and am quite liking it. It has a little bit of a glow to it which is quite nice.

LL - don't work too hard :p I must admit I seem to be missing some mojo as well at the moment, think it's this stupid cold I can't seem to shift, am just feeling shattered all the time. Think I might need to see the dr and see if I need some anti-biotics but then I'm in the only one in at work until next Thursday and already got a lecture last week for having a day off sick so getting the time off to actually go to an appointment might be a struggle :(

OH's parents are up on Thursday for a week - not stopping with us, thank goodness - not that I don't get on with them but a week is a while and I have a lot on :o For those who may remember my moaning about them last time they were up - well you may guess that I'm not completely over the moon but we'll see how it goes. OH did say to them that he was a little disappointed that last time they were up they couldn't spare any time to see him on his own but they spent several full days and nights with his aunt, and they have said they will come round to ours one night just to see him. We'll see if it happens! I don't dislike them, they can just be very self-involved eg they travel 200 miles up here but would rather go golfing every day, which they do several times a week anyway at home, then see their son for a few hours. Anyway, shall try not to moan :)

Morning all! I've got today off as annual leave with my OH who still gets a couple of Bank Holiday Tuesdays a year! So had a lie in, am tempted to do 30 Min Shred today though I don't really feel up to it as though my back hurts my sports massage is this afternoon so at least if I mess it up further he can fix it, lol! I'll see how I get on...

Anyone trying the Aldi serum and night cream, what age range are you? I'm a bit confused about what skincare I should be using as I'm 27, have started to get one deep frown line on my forehead and a few very fine lines around my eyes. But I still get spots and have annoying combination skin, with greasy T-zone and cheeks that are prone to dryness. I also have tiny red broken veins along my cheeks, I think from years of blowing my nose with hayfever 8 months a year.

I use the OCM once or twice a week and random face washes in between, I tried the hot cleanser from Superdrug but found the muslin cloth too abrasive.

I try to use an SPF moisturiser every day, and have found the Nivea Daily Essentials Light moisturiser seems to suit my skin. I don't wear moisturiser at night as I found it makes my skin too greasy and gives me spots. I sometimes wear the vitamin e face oil I bought with the hot cloth cleaner. I do sometimes use a No7 Protect and Perfect eye cream I bought ages ago.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.

LL and anyone else needed a prod - maybe a new bright lippy will cheer things up?

You don't necessarily need to spend any money - I have a small makeup bag of stuff I use regularly and I tidied the rest away into a set of cute hatboxes in the corner (one for eyes, one for lips, one for face).

Whenever I fancy a change I go 'shopping' in my hatbox for a 'new' lipstick, eyeshadow or whatever. It's massively cut down the amount of new stuff I buy on impulse.
