:hello: Hi everyone, I'd like to join you on the new thread.
LL Glad you're still around. Sorry to see your OH is worse. Perhaps better that this happened now rather than bringing him home and then needing to quickly return him to care home, but I know its hard (((hug)))
Glad you are taking some time to focus on yourself - I'm sure your OH will want you to be looking after yourself as well as supporting him. (I know mine gets upset if I'm neglecting myself)..anyone want to join me trying something new every week? I'm thinking small stuff to start with like a new class, a new lipstick, a new recipe, a new walking route.....we could swap ideas
Sounds like a great plan - count me in.
Fabbing today - for the first time in ages I steeped my feet in a nice basin of bubble bath, dealt with hard skin and moisturised. Why does being nice to my feet make me feel a weight has lifted off my shoulders :rotfl:
Need to iron some nice clothes for the week and wash my hair before I think about dinner.
Have a good week everyone
R0 -
Finally feeling better - its been a bit of nothingy day, forcing myself to do a bit of cleaning, washing and tidying whilst feeling mildly sick:o
Just to keep me on track for the week here's the exercise plan (as thought today was just walking)....
Monday - Shred L2
Tuesday - swimming
Wednesday - Shred L2
Thursday - Shred or try new exercise DVDs
Friday - something quick as I'm going to the school prom
Have had a good soak and put clothes out for tomorrow -doing interviews so need to look smart.0 -
Glad you are feeling a bit better Welshwoofer.
I didn't have a great day yesterday (lot's of little things going wrong, nothing major but enough to try my patience!) but stuck to my exercise and my hair is freshly coloured so at least I don't have to worry about hiding my roots now!
This weeks plan:
losing weight and getting healthy: stick to 20mins exercise a day (alternate days Zumba, trampette, exercise bike and maybe dancing) as well as my usual walking I do anyway. I'll have Fridays off as I do an extra long walk then anyway. Continue drinking more water, eating more fruit, veg, less fat and carbs, take vit pill.
Get my "Adore Yourself Slim" book off the shelf and do it! (This book really helped me lose a bit off weight at the beginning of the year)
Be Organised: Concentrate on leaving the house on time, have everything ready that I will need to take with me the night before and be ready to leave the house 10mins before I have to.
Improve my confidence: Appearance, Mon- de-fuzz, Tue- Paint nails, Weds- pedicure, Thurs- do eyebrows, Fri-face mask, Sat-get hair cut, Sun-moisturise any dry skin (elbows, feet, knees).
Have more fun: Do something I enjoy every day - small things like watch a good film/comedy, dance around, spend time with nature etc... Go out and do something enjoyable- I plan to go to the cinema Weds, and I'll go out for coffee another day.
Now I have it all written down, I'm feeling quite positive about the week ahead! :jJanuary 2016:

Morning all,
Bitsy and WW - hope you're both feeling better now x
Sparkles - well done on the assignments, might not have been as good as you wanted but managing to pass them all while being ill is impressive
So, pretty manic weekend! Had the wedding on Friday, went ok I think - bit of a learning curve on some points :rotfl:Need to work on being quicker to catch things - some things just over before you could blink! - and on being more confident in telling people what to do. Have some good shots I think though so hopefully she will like them. Am starting to realise why people charge such high prices for weddings though! Was there for 11 hours on Friday, then spent 10 hours on Saturday going through the nearly 1k photos and starting to edit them, did another 2-3 hours yesterday and am only maybe halfway through them all  and she's asking me already when they're going to be done! Lol, I think she's just excited to see them. Also had a couple of mystery shops yesterday and went to help OH do some filming for a band in the studio - so don't feel like I've stopped once all weekend really! Busy week as well, have to get all the photos edited, get my Christmas story finished so I can edit next week ready for submission, edit two scripts I promised OH I'd look at, plus the house is a pigstye as I've done nothing all weekend :rotfl:I need more hours in the day I think! OH is doing a big film shoot this week and will be out every night though, so while I'm not exactly happy that will barely see him all week then at least it means I have peace and quiet to try and get everything done.
Hope everyone is having a good (and less stressful!) day x0 -
Wow, I had no idea wedding photographs took so long PP you sound very busy!
Am liking reading through everyone's goals and progress, very inspiring
Had my weigh in this morning, no weight lossBut, as I had lots of visitors (think three evenings where we ate out/had a take out) I'm very happy to have not put any on either!
Have found a friend to come to a new exercise class with me on Thurs (never hurts to have moral support) and a babysitter so no getting out of it now.
Hope everyone is having a good dayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Assignment submitted last night - fingers crossed now for a pass.
Anyway as a treat for passing the other one I went and bought my new trainers to use for fitness training opposed to my spongy running ones. Really happy with the ones I have and also pleased I stuck to budget of £30. The £22 ones weren't right for my foot shape and the £27.99 ones were perfect. The money came from me £1 into the pot every time a beauty product is used up which is why I think I was so happy to get them!
Will be trying them out later on 6 week 6 pack level 1 week 2 then the stepper if I can manage it along with a long dog walk later onfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi
Bitsy- hope you and your hubby are feeling better.:)
PP -Wow what a busy time you're having -don't forget some me time (she says aware that I am prone to forgetting about me).
Had a fairly good weekend. Went out with DD2, DS1 and his partner and had a good if muddy time at an animal park. Have phoned someone for an estimate re my washer in the meantime I'll wash bits and bobs on the sink if necessary. Have done a bit of yoga this morning and atm my finger seems to be less swelled but I know this may change - its still very stiff. Am also keeping my feet moisturised will have another go with ped egg thing later. DD2 gave me a mini facial yesterday which was good. Also had a little quiet breathing time this morning which I found very relaxing.
After watching slimeball Cameron's speech earlier I think I need another now :eek:, what I would like to do to that man is unrepeatable what a complete t**t. If in doubt go for the vulnerable.:mad:
Anyway doggies getting impatient for walkies. Have agood day all. XFrump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Hi All,
I coming out of Lurkingville, this thread is my daily read now
I've yet to make a list of things I need to do but along the lines of everyone elses, be happy, healthy, everything in moderation and learn to love myself for who I am! All of this should improve my confidence, well that is the plan.
WelshWoofer - hope the hangover has long gone & interviews went ok.
Molly41 - the 'barbie outfits' is a fab idea might have to steal that one as usually I dither over outfits.
Madrabbitgirl - Writing thinks down always helps, once in black & white seems clearer and easier to do.
PP - You sound so busy, hope the photos turn out well.
Fedupandskint - hope the new trainers are comfy
I'm sorry if I missed anyone, still getting used to this.
Meanwhile I'm treating myself to a quiet evening after being sent home sick from work, stopped being ill now, just feel a bit queasy still. 2 people in work asked if I was pregnant, definitely not! Made me laugh though.
Have a nice evening all EH xx0 -
I'm finally going to get round to some fabbing tonight, I've ended up ticking off all the boring chores from my to do list and left the nice ones :rotfl:
I've got a stack of magazines to read (some left from june when i have julys also sitting waiting in the pile :rotfl:) and i plan on ticking off the "have a nice relaxing bath" one.
i have 6 weeks until i go away now and i'm hoping to have ditched another half stone before i go. thinking of just blitzing my diet now. its 6 weeks so i'm sure i can manage it. I'm doing Slimming world and using the myfitnesspal app to properly measure my calorie intake to make sure if i cant be SW 100% i know for a fact my calories are still at a level that will see me loose.0 -
I did JM's banish fat and boost metablisim for the first time this afteroon. Hard going indeed and very sweaty. Managed it for an hour though and will keep at it along with 6W6P for the next month and the new trainers were great!
Plus plenty of walking today too so over 800kcals burnt off and a nice and healthy tea too - just about to have an ice lolly as a dessert
Thinking of going out for a run tomorrow after work to get back on track with this now having a rest from studying for a month or so. Will have to see what the weather is like otherwise its 6W6P day!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
