    Good luck podperson

I don't have specific goals :undecided but I want some :D

My muscles are quite toned, especially my tummy. But I have a good layer of fat on top of them, must work on that :D

I've sorted my clothes again, I seem to do that a lot. I've put a few one-size-too-small-for-me clothes into my wardrobe (they were at the bottom of a drawer) - a skirt, 2 pairs of cargo trousers, a pair of jeans and a couple of shirts. I'm hoping to fit into them within a month.

I've just read that back, they look like goals, lol. I'm off to plan and refine some sort of schedule.

    Hi,
Good Luck PP for today hope it goes well :) x

Well have made a start. Am doing my finger exercises every hr (mostly) and trying to use it as normally as possible. It is difficult to remember the hourly exercise when you are busy but am doing my best.

Have been giving my feet a bit of tlc as the 10 min routine yesterday as they are very dry (lots of hard skin) I think it's wearing walking boots cos before I wore them they weren't too bad.

Continuing on the house fabbing, am doing at least half an hour a day. Sometimes it only amounts to a small corner but at least it's something and am starting to see the benefits from it now. It's much easier to clean the kitchen worktop without all the rubbish on it. Am determined not to let it slip back as I have in the past.

Today am going to do more decluttering, am going to try a bit of stretching again later (if the back allows) and a manicure.

  • Tru - they definitely sound like goals! :T

Lizzie - as much as I hate feet, what is your footcare regime as my feet definitely need some TLC! I think they immediately look better when I've painted my toenails though so I should spend some time in doing that, after all it doesn't take long and makes me feel better in sandals!

I'm liking all the sound of house fabbing too, mine is not so bad at the moment but need to keep on top of it and clear the washing basket.

My plans for this weekend are:
    - run 1, week 1 of C25K
    - start wardrobe clearing out as there is a charity collection on Monday
    - plan meals with more veg in them and buy fruit for work
These are all in line with my goals so I'll keep you posted on how I do.

For regular fabbing I'm going to:
    - paint my nails
    - wear make-up and different clothes
    - enjoy a beer watching the England game with my wonderful DH!

    Good morning.

    Rather a wet one here.

PP - Good luck today, hope you have a bit of decent weather.

Lizzie - sorry to hear your back has gone again. Take it easy and nurse it along. I'm very stiff this morning so need to have a soak in the bath.

    ok here's my goals.

Mainly just the one Focus on Me - i.e. my money, my home, my family. Fab-wise there are three main areas that I need to really concentrate on.

    1. Fitness and flexibility
    2. Lose some weight
    3. Rebuild my social life

To achieve these goals I will.

    1. 30 minutes exercise each day
    2. lose 1 lb per week
    3. Commit to 2 social engagements per week

So with the plan thought through and my pledge made I'm off to do 10 minutes exercise, have a soak in the bath and then go to the chiropodist.

Oh and of course I will continue with the one a day (minimum) beauty routines.

    Have a great day.

I have been thinking about my goal a bit more - dropping a dress size. And I want to do this in a nice way and by having fun. I want to do activities that I like and enjoy, and not to diet but to enjoy healthy foods. I'm not going to go hungry or deprive myself, rather eat mindfully and only till I am full. :p

I also want to revive my lifestyle, enjoy myself more and not take life for granted. So with that in mind, I want to try something new every week that I've never done before. This week was going to see the Olympic torch (can't get newer than that), next week I am going to try a new exercise class (maybe aqua circuits)....anyone want to join me trying something new every week? I'm thinking small stuff to start with like a new class, a new lipstick, a new recipe, a new walking route.....we could swap ideas :D

Just a thought - could you set an alarm on your phone to remind you? Might make it a bit more of a routine then?

I'd be up for that - think its a good idea to expand our horizons a bit - could be a simple as reading a book by a new author for you or as extreme as skydiving:eek:
I'll try to think of one (not too extreme to start) for me for the coming week and post it tomorrow (maybe go Sat-Fri to include the weekend when I have a bit more time.

Today has been an ok day apart from the absolutely horrible weather - pouring here all day.
Food has been good - again I'm not strictly dieting but being sensible about what I'm eating and trying to make good choices.
No exercise apart from soggy doggy walking yet but I will do something later - either Shred or swim. I weighed this morning and have lost 2lbs this week :j although I am a day early with the weigh in so will weigh again in the morning in the vain hope that another 1lb will drop off overnight:rotfl::rotfl:

I have a hair appt for tomorrow - just an all over colour and a trim - I'm still growing it back after the post-separation radical haircut:p and it has reached shoulder length now but I want it a bit longer so its just a tidy up and fringe trim tomorrow.

A bit of a tiny windfall today - the house insurers apparently sent me an incorrect quote that I hadn't even opened yet and they sent a new one with a £10 M&S voucher to say sorry today. Money for nothing! I think I'll save it until I go shopping for something specific and put it towards a nice new something to brighten me up.

My nails need doing desperately so I'll try that later whislt watching the telly.
Hope everyone has managed to stay dry. And nice to see LL still popping in:)

I like that idea and will join you in that challenge:T
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Well...today I have been eating mostly healthy and did 10mins on the mini trampette and went for a long walk. I've been remembering to drink more water. Other than that I haven't really tried to do any of my other targets and I haven't been feeling very fab at all today! :( I've had a slight headache most of the day, my roots are coming through and I've been feeling really tired and look it! My flat is a mess, and have lost my enthusiasm that I felt yesterday (but I won't give up!). Maybe I'll feel better after tidying up a bit!

I'll definitely join you in trying something new each week, that will go towards my goal of doing something nice for me and hopefully having more fun too! :)

    Anyway, sorry for the moan!

Well done on the weight loss WW :j- I will wait till Monday as usual....a lb would be good, but it has been a manic week so we'll see! A question for you, how hard is the shred DVD? I took the plunge and bought it after someone posting here that it was on offer....I have looked at it and put it back in the envelope :o is it really hard lol

I'm going to do my nails tonight too. I keep getting compliments about them now that I am making the effort :D

Don't apologise for the moan madrabbitgirl , why not do something nice for yourself tonight. Start by taking little baby steps and enjoy the journey. Why not just get an early night with a good book, or have a nice bath, or see if there is a good movie on. :)

Rachel - (seems weird typing my own name!) - the Shred is hard for the first few times and then suddenly it seems to click and get easier. I've just done Level 1 for the 8th time and think I'll move on to Level 2 next time. I think it is really making a difference though to both my fitness and shape - can see a small change already and my clothes seem to fit a little bit better.

So Shred done, bath done and nails cut, filed and shaped - they are very strong and don't tend to break so get very long and out of control  I might even go mad and paint them later:rotfl:

My new thing for next week is going to be two things actually -
    1. going out with my new friend for a girls night out, drinkies, maybe a bit of harmless flirting.....haven't done that in years but feel much better about myself these days. I wouldn't say I'd go so far as dating yet but a bit of fun won't hurt.
    2. trying out one of my new exercise DVDs - 10 min solutions - will report back on how it goes (that's in addition to Shred and swimming).

    What's everyone else's new things?
