Shred done, arms feeling a little tired. One of those days when I didn't really fancy it and made myself do it as am having the weekend off.
One more day to go this week and its the weekend!

Evening all
Still very hot here makes me very sluggish and doing anything is an effort.
Feeling a bit better again today, my heart did go out to my DD (11) today, there is not many kids round our way and with me and hubby working she is finding summer hols a little boring, we were having a chat about what she could do and if she wanted anyone to come round and she just said 'all I wanna do is have some fun but I don't seem to be able to' she does have a stinking cold so I think she was feeling a little sorry for herself. Bless her.
My little victories - have plucked my eyebrows and have had no junk food today and managed not to cry at DD.
One more day til the weekend and I can spend some quality time with the kids and hubby yeah!!!Chiari Brain Malformation - decompression survivor

Just a quickie to report my little victory for today - another 1lb loss:j, making it 10 altogether now. 4 to go!
Off swimming this morning and going out this afternoon with my friend for a walk and maybe a treat in a tea shop in the countryside.
Finished book no 3 of 10 of the summer reads last night - the next one is by Stella Rimmington (ex boss of MI5) called Deadline - should be interesting.
Getting through my list of things to do over the summer quite well - it feels like I've been quite productive so far. Its going quite quickly, only 5 weeks more after this one:rotfl:0 -
Morning All,
Another gorgeous day here
Not sure if victories but they are too me, been told I smell nice and look summery! Then someone else said my hair matches my top..I'm blonde and wearing a yellow top..I just laughed!
And managed to drop the chocolate cake I made...but it survived and no-one need know I dropped it!:rotfl:
Hope you all have a nice day whatever your up to.

Morning all,
ww - I'm in awe of all your organisation and activitiesIt's nice that you're going to feel you've accomplished something over the summer - I think it's too easy sometimes when we have a break to mean to do things and then just feel frustrated at the end of it when we ended up doing none of them (or is that just me?
)
Hewie - hope DD is feeling a bit better, think maybe she's just feeling a bit 'can't be bothered with anything' cause she's full of a cold. Hopefully when it clears up a bit she might be feel more like arranging things with friends etc. I don't know if she's in on her own or goes to family while you're working but could you maybe let her a nice duvet day - lots of snacks and juice in, favourite movies etc and just stay in her jammies under the duvet to kick her cold.
EH - had to laugh at the cake (sorry!) - if no one else saw it it never happened :rotfl:Nice to get some compliments!
Is looking really nice here today - though can't see much of it from my officeManaged to get OH's essay finished last night, though, of course, this morning I'm now thinking of about half a dozen things I should have done different on it. Hopefully it will at least pass as I think he'd just be happy with that. Of course we still don't know if he can actually go back into his next year as the problems with Student Finance still haven't been sorted  Have sent them information weeks ago but apparently still hasn't been processed - they really are the worst company I've ever had to deal with in my life (and that's saying something!). Anyway, another thing off my list I suppose
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Good morning everyone
Another hot and sunny day here.
Joiner and gas fitter currently hard at work in the kitchen. The kitchen is out of bounds today so will pop over and see OH. DS2 is still off this week so we will all go and have lunch somewhere. I'm feeling a little delicate this morning, upset tummy - partly the heat and partly stress. The thought of doing battle with ATOS on Monday is hanging over my head a bit.
Well done on all the weight losses, assignments passed, school work done, etc. You are all very energetic and organised this week.
Sorry to hear about the summer colds - they always seem worse than the winter ones for some reason.
I'm not normally a watcher of sport on TV and I probably won't be watching many of the competitions but I shall probably watch the ceremonies.
I think it's wonderful that we are hosting the Olympics. I know a lot of people say it's a huge waste of money but it is a once in a lifetime thing, and who knows it may prove beneficial to our economy in the long run.
I know from visiting Barcelona what a huge boost to the economy the Olympics can be, kick starting building programmes and re-generating run down areas. I hope that the long term effects on London's East End will be comparable to those on Barcelona.
I just hope nothing goes badly wrong - i.e. terrorist attacks and the like. Big events like this must be a security nightmare these days.
Yesterday I too was complimented several times on my appearance. It is nice when that happens:D
Don't forget it's Fab Friday - get those glad rags on - remember we are all beautiful colourful summer butterflies at the moment.;)0 -

Course they're victories - anything that makes you feel good or smile is a victory!
Pod - well done on getting "your" essay written;)
LL - good luck with the kitchen, my mum and dad are in the middle of having their kitchen and dinng room knocked through and remodelled (new kitchen etc) and its like a bombsite at the moment, mum keeps telling herself that it will be nice when its finished.
On the Olympics - I thought it was a giant waste of money but now its here I'm quite excited. Will be watching the sport, I can watch anything from athletics to swimming to rowing - I fantasise that I can do that (of course I can't!) but in my own little way I find it quite inspiring. Lets hope it motivates kids to take up some sport - obesity is a massive issue and can be so easily avoided.
Just done my 50 lengths in the pool and found it very easy today and my time has come down quite a bit since I restarted swimming, so will maybe up the distance next time to a full mile (only 14 more lengths) and see if I can do that in nearly the same time.
Forgot about Fab Friday- will have to make a bit of an effort this afternoon, although I am walking so it won't be ultra glam!0 -
Quick post. :T everyone on your achievements whether it's coping with an invasion of tradespeople or finishing OH's essay, it all counts.
I've had a lovely couple of days out this week but that means other things haven't been completed:( So I'm behind on my reading and proper walking but also basics like ironing (serves me right for doing so much extra washing I suppose). I am pleased to say that basic fabbing is really a routine now so no corners cut there.0 -
To continue..quick visitor came to the door.
As for fab friday, i'm wearing my white jeans today with a navy top that I love from Fat Face. I was interested in the 'won't be ultra glam comment' ww. I found that doing casual outfits well has been the hardest part of fabbing as far as clothes are concerned.
For work I had expectations of what should be worn so I just donned that like a uniform and it helped me get into work mode mentally. That was jacket, trousers/skirt, plain top, heels. I still do that for various meetings although I have added in some tailored dresses and cardis. At weekends I felt like a bag lady!:rotfl:
My solution was to treat myself to three (at the time but I've added to them since) pairs of jeans cut trousers from M&S in white, black and navy. I wear those with nice plain tops/vests as a basic. Then I add some colourful short cardis and matching/toning scarves. Obviously haven't needed the latter this week!;) I also bought two pretty skirts which look equally good with the cardis. It's not exactly a capsule wardrobe but I do feel smart now when I'm not working. When I used to be a bag lady I tended to wear off old black trousers from work and felt a proper scruff.
I still think that the mind boggling figures spent on the Olympics is hard to swallow. Obviously, when we went in for the bid the economic situation wasn't as bad as it is now but the figures do seem to have escalated massively over time. That being said I will watch the ceremony tonight and any bits that grab my enthusiasm as I am a sports fan. I still have reservations though. I realise Dave has to talk up the country but if he and his ilk think it's going to make me forget the real situation in the country then he's very wrong!! I was particularly angry with Damian Green the other day being so ungracious when PCS called off their strike. I'm sure there were ulterior motives on Mark Serwotka's part but the idea that putting a sticking plaster over the immigration problems for a couple of weeks was sufficient to solve the long term problems. Amazing!!
Rant over:o must get on.0 -
Well done madrabbitgirl on coping with your visit to the dentist, it can be quite panicky when there is so much going on in your mouth. Hopefully your next visits will be easier.
I am feeling a bit better, actually slept a bit easier last night which always helps. Today I am wearing a new top and made the effort to wear some jewellery too. I straightened my hair this morning and so far it has actually stayed straight which is nothing short of a miracle :j
Going out for a few drinks tonight with some girls I used to work with then a fairly quiet weekend for me.VSP member #250
