Just thinking out loud really and wanted to make a list of plans and things to do this week bearing in mind that I'm trying to economise.....(hope nobody minds me doing this but I tend to pinch ideas off you so perhaps you might see something in mine that interests you?)....

    Social
Mon - Murder mystery night with Spice (paid for, only need to buy a drink)
Tues - Evening walk with Spice (paid for)
Weds - Taking dogs to a new park with gay best friend
Thurs - Book club (paid for)
Fri - Walk with school friend (her turn to buy the drinks)
Sun - 8 mile walk with Spice (paid for)

Exercise (in addition to the walks)
    Couch to 5K week 4 x2, week 5 x1
    Swimming x 2

    School work
Finish special needs first topic prep
Start some Biology for yr 11

Leisure - finish Stella Rimmington book and choose next one, try one new recipe (probably sweet potato tortilla)

Personal Fabbing - stick to diet (weigh on Friday), get eyebrows done, maybe have short sunbed for small psoriasis patches

That should keep me busy enough - had a doing not very much day today and one is enough, getting bored now:rotfl:

Well I've been out for a 10 mile walk today with the family. Its on an old railway track route converted now into a walk and cycle way. We did stop half way for a roast dinner in a pub. Had a lovely day, but am now suffering from some blisters, my socks kept coming down and there was lots of little stones that going into my trainers. It was lovely though saw many people doing just the same and everyone spoke and said hello, we were all out enjoying the weather and the beautiful Dorset scenery.

Just of for a bath to soak my feet and weary muscles.

    Morning ladies!
Its been quite quiet here over the weekend - hopefully we're all off being fabulous somewhere?

I'm out at a murder mystery evening tonight - not quite sure what to expect really but I'll give it a go. I'll be driving so no drinking and I can "protect" the diet - only 2 weeks to holidays now and I want to make the best effort I can for then (think bikini ).
So today's exercise will be the Couch to 5K week 4 run (eek!), 15 mins belly and bingowings exercises and some dog walking.
Had a real day off exercise and schoolwork yesterday and so today need to get at least 2 hours of work done.

Hope everyone has a good Monday (raining again here:().

Morning, Been speed reading. Had a busy weekend. Went to a First Aid course on Saturday. I hpe I am now confident in dealing with emergencies and CPR etc.
Just hope I dont have to use it.
Yesterday I went into Oxford, and walked around for ages, so today I am very sore. But glad that I am now walking much further then I have done in the recent past.
Feeling so much better over all though. (The aches today are expected of course).
The sun is trying here so I am going to get sorted and hope to sit in the garden at some stage. Take it easy today. May take DGD to the park later.
Bought her little trampoline with me, so she can have a bounce on that later. When I get it out of the car.
On the whole I am feeling much more fab than I have done in years. Did look at an old book I had on 28 days to a flat stomach. But not sure I can do even any of the exercises. I will have a little go later today. After my tablets have kicked in.!
Good luck to everyone with thier exercises etc.
NExt target is my nails! What a sight.

    Morning all,

Hewie - glad dd seems to be enjoying her holidays more :) The walk sounds lovely.

WW - had to smile at Tooty Frooties - not had those in years :) Plan for the week sounds great, hope you enjoy the murder mystery night.

adelight - loving the fabbing but hope things are going better with OH x

Had a bit of a busy weekend (as usual!) was meant to be doing some studio shoots on Saturday but had some last min cancellations, which was rather annoying. Been roped into helping OH with a load of stuff as well so not really been very restful! Did manage to go see the new Batman film, quite enjoyed it - though the amount of adverts were ridiculous! Was down for 9pm and didn't get out until after midnight. Have my mum and dad coming to stay on Friday so need to get on top of the housework this week :o
Hope everyone has a good day x

Just a teeny post to report a little victory......

Back from the Couch to 5K run week 4 (no 2) and found it easy:j I think I've found a pace that suits me now and felt like I could carry on for miles (well maybe not that far:p).

From not running for the bus to happily comfortably jogging along is a minor miracle for me - if I can do it anyone can.
    Have a go....you'll surprise yourself!

WW Well done! Where do you run? Have been trying the couch to 5k (as you know) but have been running when walking dogs which is over the fields and so not very even. I'm wondering if I dare run on the street. I do see people running over the fields but am finding it hard going -just didn't want anyone to see me really.:o

PP Try and get a bit of me time -you seem really busy.

adelight- sorry things are tough with OH, know that feeling well, try and keep positive.

Been for 2hr walk this morning and then a lovely afternoon catching up with an old friend I don't see much now.
Gave myself a facial this morning and am going to sort out my nails later. Must get my hair dyed this week too - am looking v grey.

I think I am lucky as I have never been on a diet in my life! I have been at times too thin. I decided that I had been putting on weight at a slow pace with being in active, but when I got the scales working I was surprised that I was only 9st8lb. However the problem area is my tummy. Since having my hysterectomy 6 years ago, I have just not been able to hold my tummy in and the lack of movement since I became ill has layed down that spare tyre just above the operation area.
So I am gently trying to get to grips with some sort of exercise for my tummy that doesnt agravate the other problems with my spine. Which is no mean feat. I hate exercising.
I have always been an active/busy person who burned off the calories faster then I put them on, so after 50 years I have to re think the way that I am. EEK.
I am trying to push the walking better, and holding in my tummy while I do so. Then I am lying on the bed and doing my back exercises, with conscious effort to pull in the tummy etc. I cant do the warm up exercises that stretch with the arms due to my left arm, but I am trying. I have only just started this weekend so it will be a while before I have anything to report. If at all!.

I had a fantastic complement yesterday. I was coming back from the shops and the lady next door, appologies for not stopping to speak to me the other day, she thought that I was my daughter!. She said that I look amazing, and when I said I was 51 last week, she said you would never believe it!. How lovely was that. I felt so pleased.
I wasnt even dressed up or anything, just in my jeans and a T shirt and cardi, as had taken DGD to the park, then nipped to the co-op.
I broke yet another nail, on the swings, so I have lost most of my nails this week. Will have to find the emery board and get my self sorted out with time to do a manicure.

WW. Well done. I dread the thought of running. But with the spine trouble I have a good excuse as to not doing it!!

Mooloo - what a fantastic ego boost! You must be looking and feeling totally fab! Good luck with the stomach exercises.

Had a rubbish night's sleep - think it was due to too much caffeine in the diet cokes I had last night. I must try to find another low cal drink to have when out in the evening. As a result it took ages to go to sleep (about 1am) and then keep waking up, was even reading a book at 4am in desperation!

The murder mystery night was ok, not really my thing but quite sociable all the same.
I'm off to an organised walk this evening (only 4 miles) but the weather is looking miserable so it may not be as much fun as usual. Will still go though -a bit of rain never killed anyone and its good exercise.
Its also swimming day so will have to force myself to the pool - I'm usually fine once I'm there, its just the thought of going when I'm tired.:o

I managed to do quite a good chunk of schoolwork yesterday afternoon - I'm hoping to do a bit more today if I can muster the energy.

Right, its time for woofer walking - he's not keen on the rain either!

PS. Saw the Hairy Bikers on TV yesterday they've got a new program on Thurs (think its BBC2) about how they've lost weight using new adapted recipes etc am it shows them going through the process, may be interesting?
