Oooh exciting WW :T your secrets safe with me ;)

We are heading off to Dorset. After that tragic landslip yesterday we shall be avoiding any cliffs. My heart goes out to that poor family :(

Weather likely to be unsettled but that doesn't stop us :)

I know it's not fab Friday but I am wearing my lovely M&S maxi dress. I bought some fake pearl costume jewellery (sounds hideous but goes really well with my sandals as they are beaded with pearls too) and I feel fab. I might not be the slimmest person out there but I feel good. Just wish my hair hasn't flopped in this heat grrrrrr

Bitsy - Dorset's my neck of the woods. So sad about the young girl, her poor family. Hope you have a great time there are some lovely places to visit.

After doing the Couch to 5K run this morning I've made a decision. I'm entering a 5K "race" on Sunday 2nd Sept to give myself something to aim for.
I'm on week 4 of 9 now and am now doing the runs closer together so it isn't strictly taking a week to move up a stage (there's 3 runs in each week's level).

Nice one! Should be a good thing to aim for and keep you on track and you should manage it like a breeze by the time it comes round. Keep at it and you will :D I started running again 2 yrs ago with the C25K programme and it was the thing that kickstarted all my interest in this again

Just met a friend today who commented on my slimness as I haven't seen her for a few months which was nice! Told her about Shred and hope she gets it too and gives it a go as she wants to do something to tone up too.

Off out with Mr Dog in a bit after some ironing then maybe Shred or a bike ride - depends

WW - Well done on entering the race. Gosh you really do mean business now don't you.

Just had to share this with you.

Coming back from the shops I saw a woman - well into her 60'S walking through a main shopping area, shorts showing veiny pasty white legs, flimsy white cotton sleeveless vest top top that left nothing to the imagination and no bra :eek:

Seriously not a nice look - even the elasticated sludge coloured trousers would look better.:rotfl:

Walking - does limping round DIY sheds count
    Bike - 1.5 mms
    Multi-gym 2 x 4 reps

Building up a little more exercise each day.

Sparkles - how nice to get compliments - makes you feel good.

Bitsy - have a good time in Dorset. I love it there.

    Hi all,

LL - hope the ankles a bit better

WW - how exciting :jam sure you will manage it, plenty of time left yet to get in training and sounds like it will be great motivation.

Bitsy - hope you have a lovely holiday

Interesting on the poor summer wear - have seen a few bits round this week - though it's really not been that sunny for it! I saw a woman in the supermarket the other day, from the back she was wearing very short shorts and strappy sandals and then she turned round and my immediate thought was 'eek, she's too old to wear that' :o I actually felt quite guilty afterwards as wasn't thinking she looked bad from the back so she did have the figure to pull it off - felt rather ageist :rotfl:
Managed to have a talk with OH about the camera, he said he is annoyed with them as well but since nothing can be done about it now then he doesn't see the point is cutting them off and missing out on possible opportunities - which I do see his point on I suppose.
Not a bad day here today, bit of sunshine but not boiling - wish I didn't have so much to do tonight as looks like it would nice for a walk out :(

:shhh: promise, won't say a word to a soul :silenced: You'll have to pack your shoes for Ibiza and go for a pre-breakfast run. That's not as unusual as you might think. I've noticed lots of people doing it in hotels I've stayed in. Great news on the potential weightloss this week. Are you still following SW?

No, I'm doing the old fashioned way of calorie counting and exercise using myfitnesspal.com to help.
Its really working for me and made me much more conscious of what I'm eating and how much. My problem with SW is my portion control - if you can eat it "legally" I do!
I'm doing approx 1250 cals a day plus any cals earned through exercise if I'm very hungry.

Been very good this afternoon and done another batch of marking and a whole months worth of prep for a new 6th form topic I'm teaching in September. Will try to finish enough to get me through to Xmas without having to write/prep any more, doing a bit of work now means that I have more time on the weekends when I am working.

Off on the 5 mile walk in a bit with the Spice group - just walked the dog for 20 mins (he had his big walk this morning before it got too hot) and it was a very hot and sweaty experience - I definitely won't be very fab looking by the time this evening is over with.:rotfl:
Right better start thinking about some tea to give it a chance to settle before I go tramping round the countryside.....

Just found out I passed my final assignment for the taught module with my best mark so far! What a relief and unexpected surprise! I did it and they're done with now. Just a rather large dissertation to write now....................!

Also Shred done today and now halfway through level 2 which is getting better now after a hard start. Looking forward to starting level 3 next week - yeah!

    Well done Sparkles :T

Feeling better today, not on top form but not so low.

Have painted my toe nails today - finally.

Reading all about the summer wear, why is it that when the sun comes out all fashion sense and style get thrown out the window. I save my shorts and vest tops purely for the garden. If you've got the figure for skimpy outfits then fine but if not, the rest of the world doesn't want to see it.

While making my DS's bed tonight I caught sight of myself in the mirror (his room is the only one with a full length mirror and I stay away from them as much as poss) omg not a pretty sight.

    Have a good evening
