I don't think its completely fixed unless its doing something else as yesterday I was paid £170, transferred it out of my RBS account so the balance was £0, it was still this this morning, but just now its £-170 and nothing on my statement about the £170 being paid in which was a benefit payment0

I can't do anything online, but have full functionality with the Android app. I've made two transfers today using the app, one to my fiance and one to pay off my credit card before I get interest added, and both went through instantly.
I imagine as someone else has said that they're limiting transactions going through to deal with the backlog, though I'm not sure why their app works when I can't even view my statement on their site to check if a client paid what he should have done a fortnight ago.0 -
Just been into my bank, 12.30 ish (Ipswich) and their systems are down, can not access anything. Couldn't tell me if my payments from last week had gone out, but are still promising my pay will go in Monday. Told me internet prob won't be fixed til Monday and all back log worked through by Monday.
Still don't understand why some people can access their internet banking, but I have not been able to access at all since 8.30am Friday?0 -

This shoud not be the case as if all is 'fixed' then transactions nw would not add to backlog as they would go straight through, You may be right, i hope your right, it just doesnt seem likelyto me! Ispoke to natwest a few hours ago and she told methat they had cleared most of wednsday and thursday backlog, however i dont think this is true as i am still waiting on things from wed and thurs! have they stated any more on the news!?0 -

I'm not so sure, and if it is the case, it makes little sense IMHO. All these payments and transfers are still backing up, they are simply not allowing you to enter them into the system. As soon as they allow transfers again, the system will be flooded with all the payments and transfers which people have been prevented from making.
In any case, how can the system be regarded as 'fixed' if they are preventing you from making FPS payments, which are instant and require no manual intervention?0 -

This EXACT same thing happened to me, my wages arrived at 10am yesterday (RBS) later than usual, and was listed in my most recent transactions.
However today when i look at my recent transactions, there is no mention of the bacs payment, and i am now into my overdraft!
On calling RBS they said well you still have funds in your OD just use that, and no timescale of when it will be fixed!
Hmmmmm not very reassuring at all!!0 -

Exactly!! I dont know what to believe about what they say, especially as they dont say much! They need to keep their customers more updated more often and they need to be honest and start giving explanations as they are just annoyng their customers more! They need to answer direct questions properly like - If its fixed why can't we make transfers etc..0 -
That is my view. The problems I am experiencing with online banking have not changed since it started a few days ago.
Same here with the Ulster Bank..Statement on their site says Monday for it to hopefully fixed..We have been working to minimise the impact for our customers and customers of other banks and we apologise for the inconvenience.
Today, Saturday 23 June we will be opening 60 Saturday branches across Ireland with extended hours of 10am to 3pm, and we will open some of our branches on Sunday 24 June, 10am to 1pm. ATMs and limited functionality on the Anytime and Mobile Phone Banking services are available but they continue to reflect a delay in customers' balances.0 -
The only thing I'm thankful for, as my wages aren't showing as having gone into the bank, is that none of my debits have gone out either.
What a cockup by the NatWest though. I don't think any other bank has screwed up as gloriously as this.0 -

They have possibly restricted the service to prevent the thousands of customers trying to make transfers etc all at the same which may possibly make the system fall over or something with the impact of the amount of transactions etc going on patience is all that is required.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
