my lesson learnt on this is to spread your risk, don't keep all your eggs in one basket.

we were very very lucky, we just found out that my OH's employer use one of the banks effected, but luckily the money went in OK just before this mess started, narrow escape...
now if they manage to get it sorted in the next 3 weeks or so we will be fine.... 50/50 chance?

Well, on the business a/c today I've lined up Faster Payments to go out tomorrow to all our suppliers settling their monthly accounts, + on Friday to settle c/cards and pay our employee his wages.

So fingers crossed they all go out properly, or we'll be up the creek without the proverbial paddle. A couple of suppliers who expect settlement earlier than the rest didn't get their scheduled payments last week, leaving our a/c Monday instead of last Thursday; and last Friday's payment to our employee wasn't made/received till Tuesday, by which time we'd already made other arrangements for him. It would be very serious indeed if most of our supplier accounts weren't paid on time, but he's even more of a priority.

I understand NW execs have decided not to use their corporate hospitality package and attend Wimbledon this year. Bless their little hearts! Perhaps they should give these and their Olympic tickets to their customers?

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I couldn't recall seeing it.

If you're thoroughly hacked off by all of this - and let's face it, who wouldn't be - do have a listen to this guy's lyrics, sung to the tune of Go West, on YouTube.

I promise it will cheer you up - just a little, for just a little while

Ive just transferred a small amount from my RBS account to my Barclays account (who are allegedly also having problems) and it went through in seconds which has to be a good sign...
