This is what I have anticipated to do. All mine are due out from tomorrow I think. I'm particularly hacked off, as I have an 0% interest deal with Halifax credit card for 22 months.I'm worried that if they attempt to take a DD and it gets rejected they'll end the deal -even if I pay over the counter.Council tax and cable payments all due out too as well as DS's nursery fees.:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

Yeah, well, its been a PR nightmare for them so I guess they won't mind a bit more negative press. I doubt even the marketing masters, Apple Inc, could extract themselves from this chaos
What does this mean?- Anyone out of pocket owing to a technical or systems failure has certain rights
- Banks should put customers back into the position they were in before the problem
- That does not mean extra compensation is a right
- Anyone affected should let the bank know about their situation as soon as possible
- Customers should check to see if any payments due from an account have bounced
- They should also keep a record of how the problem has affected them - just in case a formal complaint is required later

Not knowing exactly what DDs have been due to go out during this period, or if they're being paid in the background, I'm ignoring everything for now and will deal with any trouble later. I'm trusting that all companies will be understanding, and will realise what's happened if they don't receive my payment.
My one concern is that I recently (last Monday) signed up to a two-year credit agreement for laser eye surgery. My op is next week, and clearly the last thing I want is to miss that first payment. However, my credit agreement does state that they'll write to inform me of the date of my first payment, and I've received nothing in writing yet so theoretically I'm fine.0 -
Has anyone received a paymen yet due on Friday ?
Yes I have, my Friday wages were credited at about 7pm Friday evening (instead of midnight Thurs/Fri), although I cannot do any online transactions with the money but can draw on it at the cashpoint and the staff in branch can manually pay my billsNov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails)

So you rely on a bank loophole to get money two days early? Hate to see it when they shut it off.
Read this thread people who are claiming benefits are demanding "their" money.
Not sure why you keep putting the word their in quotes. Possibly you are incinuating that money claimed by people on benefits belongs to someone else however you can't really be that stupid as to not understand how the benefit system works and that any money legally claimed by a claimant is in fact THEIR money to keep and do with as they wish
Or can you?0 -
My card worked fine Thursday and Friday, declined yesterday (despite funds) and last night the declined amount appeared deducted on my statement! So now I cannot even access the last 50 quid even if I wanted to. Can't get online nor via the app this morning, and am also waiting to be paid tomorrow (usually with access on a Saturday to the cash), so here's hoping it goes in tomorrow and the pre-auths are removed otherwise I will be having problems.0
