Online banking down for me for last 12 hours, laughably my account was working fine (lucky I know!) through all this until yesterday post the supposed fix when I suddenly found I couldn't get into my account. Well done NW, well done. :T0

Online banking down - frustrating. No update from NatWest on this and now they have stopped you posting on their Ideas Bank forum.0

Those people who are having a go at RBS group and talking about moving their accounts elsewhere, should think again.
UK tax payers own about 84% of RBS and if they were to close, we would lose over £50bn. If that were to happen, you can look forward to many more years of cuts (schools and hospitals) and increases in your taxes.
All UK banks are as good or bad as another. From what I have seen and heard, they have IT systems which are getting a bit tired (old) and they can have difficulty with any updates. They handle an enormous amount of transactions, so even a short (24 hour) breakdown, can cause chaos. This 'technical glitch' which occurred on Tuesday night (I think) would cause a major backlog and people are going to be affected by it for weeks. If there is corrupted data, people may also see some odd problems with their accounts, which may take some time to resolve. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
I can't move my account anyway. Being ex-BR, basic accounts are limited to me for a short while and this is the only one with excellent online facilities that update instantly. Normally............0

Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama0

thought mine was all sorted on Friday. Every week I transfer housekeeping to my other half for food etc for the week ahead. Friday afternoon it showed as having left my account, so I thought 'great all sorted' shes gone to do the food shop and guess what no money in her account. Left mine and showing as a debit and not showing on hers. Thank you very much NatWest. Hopefully will be sorted tomorrow.0

I have been able to access online banking just now and although debits from last week are now showing, there is no sign of payments that were due friday and tomorrow.
Funnily enough, recent over counter withdrawal from yesterday is showing. Guess Natwest are keeping track of what they are paying out to people instantly, regardless of our own pay and direct debits currently floating in cyberspace..Priorities right? ;p0 -
I can now login to online banking but all my money is still missing. I don't understand how it can disappear. It was paid in on Thursday and was there in my account all day Thursday and Friday. Then at 7pm on Friday it just vanished.0

RBS Digital now working. A credit which should have arrived from a client (also an RBS customer) has not yet appeared, although they tell me it left their account. Lost in the ether!
Payments, which were not working yesterday, are now working. Paid a credit card, also sent a FP to Lloyds, which arrived.
Apart from a warning message at login and non arrival of credits, nothing seems amiss, although it is lucky that there was already funds in the account for bills etc.0 -
I can also log on - thanks for that info! The balance is correct (inc. the pre-auth....) but there are £100's of transactions missing from the last few days.
At least I always keep a detailed forecast/spreadsheet so I know better than the bank account does at the moment!0
