Can you give me the London address you gave them. You went to the small claims court and it cost £25 and you got a result. Did you ring the small claims court or did you have to go to see them. I would be grateful if you could help me with this as I paid out £195.67 in total to the robbing b..........s and I would like to get it back.

Their London address appears in this thread at least four times.
It is also at the bottom of every page on their website.

For details on processing a Small Claims Court action, please read MSE's Small Claims Court guide.

    go to: http://www.gateway.gov.uk/
then enter government gateway, then register.
After you get your user ID go to Money Claim Online and take it from there. You do it all online, no court appearance unless they contest which they didn't in my case. Once you have put in your claim you have to wait for them to reply, they didn't in my case so then you ask for a judgement to be made and wait...
    Good Luck!
If I can help further please ask.

    Hi Julze

Thanks so much for the information. I have done as you suggested, now I am waiting for them to reply. I'll let you know how I get on .
  • I have been caught out by the Dead Sea Beauty Kit 'offer'. The 14 days has expired, and I have been debited an extra £97.95. Nowhere was I told that the extra amount billed would be so high. The kit has not been opened. Can I return it for a refund now, and if so, can I return it to the London address?

The answers to your questions are in the thread.

So when ordering, you didn't see the information shown in post #2?

    Hi Julzw
How long did you wait for a reply before you asked for a judgement to be made please? I have been waiting for about 6 days including the weekend.

My 80 year old mother was also scammed and I am embarrassed to say that I sat with her while she did it! There didn't appear to be anything untoward at the time.

Barclays Bank say that cannot retrieve money that has been taken from an account via a debit card. My mum, like many, paid £3.95 for P&P to send a friend this FREE GIFT which was offered at the end of a short survey. 2 weeks later she found £97.95 was taken from her account without any warning and in fact still no product has been received by the friend!

Does ANYONE have any advice as to what can be done here? There appears to have been many people duped by these shysters!

    Any thoughts are gratefully appreciated.

    Yes!

Many suggestions have been made in the thread.

One idea was to cancel the subscription. That will stop even more money vanishing.

Another idea was to send the goods back, followed by a chargeback on your bank.

For more information on chargebacks, read MSE's article.

But by far, the best suggestion has to be to read the rest of this thread and pick up on any ideas that others have found successful.

Firstly I would like to say THANK YOU to all that have posted previously on this matter, your comments have helped me enormously.

I was also "duped" by this advertisement and ordered both Collagenta Serum and Dead Sea Beauty Kit....
I didn't realise they were the same company at first but then they both arrived in the same jiffy bag via DPD (UK)

I had a try of the Collagenta and my eyes began watering! Thanks to good old google I found this forum/debate.... This wasn't the news I was expecting!

I hadn't a clue anything was amiss until i read the comments on here!

First stop was my bank RBS Disputes - funny that when I told them there were two payments I had recently made and that I didn't want any future payments to be allowed, they instantly knew which ones they were! They told me that they would monitor my account and if any payments were requested, the bank would automatically refund my money :) They also said that if I cancelled my card "they" (Dead Sea) would still be able to money off my NEW card!

At least they are monitoring it, so I feel safe that I will incur no additional charges :)

So I just need to contact Dead Sea now and get the stuff returned to them.

I found this address at the bottom of a reservation email they sent me: DS Marketing Ltd., 788-790 Finchley Road London, NW11 7TJ

I will post back my result so that any future "Mugs" oooops "Customers" may be able to benefit from my experience.

UPDATE!!!! Nothing else was taken from my bank :) I contacted DS Marketing and told hem I did NOT want to continue with the trial, they emailed back with some blurb, I didn't return the stuff and I haven't heard a thing since and no other requests for money from them :)

    Hi Julzw

I did what you suggested and went through the Small Claims Court. It took a long time but finally I have had a full refund including the £25 court fee. Thank you so much and I hope anyone else who was duped into this will be able to obtain refunds too.
