no emails from them at all..it is scandalous. They have not answered anything i have emailed to them about cancelling auto-refill. It's the not cancelling autorefills when requested that makes their actions illegal. They are ignoring customer requests.

Why are we sooo good emailing and phoning, this company is taking thousands of pounds from people and these are only the ones we know about. Why should we send this rubbish back , it has been stated on numerous threads that it is not a proper address . Just check out amazons discussions , scambook , !!!!ed consumer and Get rid of product testers on Facebook , they are not playing fair with us so why should we comply . Good luck everyone .

Check your spam/junk folders. Odds on that is where they are.

Then get into the habit of checking it on a regular basis.

These co's do not have to reply to you for you to get your money back via your card provider.
All we need is the date you contacted and cancelled with them. Which is why in many ways sending a email is best as you have proof of sending, should they contest.

    As a aside.
Anyone who does not cancel within the 14 days and gets charged the full price for the item.
Ask your card provider to attempt a non receipt chargeback on this debit.
You do have to allow 15 days after this debit before it can be actioned.
If they say they won't them push them on the basis that YOU will take the risk of being redebited if they contest.
We seem to be having success with doing this and the co's are not contesting. Given that as per their T/C this is a charge for the trial product, its a result. :D
Maybe they have realised that contesting raises their profile and gets them into further trouble.

You have to comply if you want your money back..

fair or not. If you want your money back via the chargeback systems then you have to comply or the co's can contest on the basis that you have not....

What is the cost of a email or a phone call???

One thing that has come to light of late is the co's are starting to block out part of their phone no on the debits  meaning we do not have a quick reference to contact them.

It seems to me that these companies do not want to raise their profile by dealing with irate consumers surely better for them to credit a few hundreds of pounds rather than it be in the papers showing it to be the scam it is then they would risk the chance of losing thousands .

I've checked them dalesrider. Anyway they emailed me back today offering further goods!!!!!!! I have manged to cancel auto refill on their website. Though whether they'll take any notice is another matter.

I have also posted the goods back to them as they request. I have done everything they ask. And as you say i have proof of emails i have sent requesting cancellation of auto-refill (recurring order as they put it).

I don't think i can really do much more. Just going to have to monitor my credit card account very closely (MBNA say they are going to do that as well).

You see this is the problem....

These companies have been on TV in the papers banded around god knows how many forums on the internet....
Even featured on DON'T GET DONE, GET DOM & the one with the 3 women in.... :rotfl:

    SCAMBOOK...
Funny how people ONLY EVER check after entering their card details

I have lost count of the number of people who come on screaming its a SCAM... Its on SCAMBOOK....
Well yipie..... Sadly that does NOT make it a chargeback right :rotfl:

So you see no matter how much publicity there is against these companies, there are still people who signup.

I'm just thinking we must be running out of people to signup soon :o

Some of them are even happy to state "As seen on TV" or "As featured in the Sun" in their adverts knowing that most people will be too lazy to go and check how they were featured.

They'll just change the name of the product (I've already registered the domain name https://www.thamessludgebeautyspatreatment.com to see if I can get in on the act) and start again - and likely the same people will sign up.

I better be - if you knew how much time and effort I've put into this (5 minutes on the bog earlier this evening).

I've got all my marketing stuff in place. How's this for a catchline:

Why put cheap !!!!!! on your face when you can use Thames Sludge.

I've even signed a 'star' of TOWIE up for a celeb endorsement.

Obviously that is the after picture - I'll use Jordan or Amy Childs for the before pic.
